In Topic: Exporting Orders

Can't believe how convoluted this API is compared to rivals. Doesn't appear to be a way to specify a date range for orders in the call either. I would have thought that would be a basic.

Oh well, back to banging my head against a brick wall to do something that takes 10 seconds in Shopify...

Suggest you either generate a helpdesk ticket or send an email to sales AT cs-cart.com.  Please update this thread with the response you get.

As discussed above, it is not difficult to create an addon that would do local PDF processing.  You have to identify the PDF library you want to use, install it and then intercept the request(s) via pre controllers to process locally.

There is already a bug tracker request for it which I'm following.

It might not be difficult but there should be a KB article at the very least explaining how to do it as it's such a fundamental flaw in the product which could lead to a lot of legal trouble for a store owner.

Natewallis, I don't see why people should have to pay for an addon to resolve an issue such as this.

Yep. What I do is to use the cc option on the admin.php (mysite.com/admin.php?cc) each time I make a change.

Got to agree that this is a major issue as far as EU privacy law goes. There needs to be an explanation of exactly how the process works so it can be included in the privacy pages.

Also I'd like to see KB article made on how to make the process local as well if possible.

In Topic: Feedback Wanted From Cs-Cart Theme Developers

04 November 2015 - 02:00 PM

I've come back to CS-Cart after a couple of years away doing other sites, mainly Shopify ones.

As a whole their product is inferior to CS-Cart but for template development the new Timber framework they've developed is really good for responsive work and is incredibly easy to use compared to what we have in CS-Cart.

The biggest issue I have with developing in CS-Cart is the documentation. After being away I need to refresh my memory but the documentation is dis-jointed with many broken links and links pointing to completely unrelated subjects.

I basically just clone a theme and then make all the changes I need directly to the files and generate diff sheets so I know what's changed for any future updates.
