In Topic: Deleting/archiving Old Orders Without Affecting Stock

24 April 2018 - 07:34 AM

I have about 20000 orders and about 5-10000 is old enough I would never need them. On other side size of order_data database is biggest in eshop 160-200MB and I have some hosting limitations for whole eshop. All the time Im balancing on 80-90% of its kapacity.

Anyway this deleting should be handled via special eshop feature as deleting can (I belive) affect more eshop features (statistics, customer order history, reward points, etc.)

In the fn_delete_order function (app/functions/fn.cart.php) replace the following line of code

fn_change_order_status($order_id, STATUS_INCOMPLETED_ORDER, '', fn_get_notification_rules(array(), false)); // incomplete to increase inventory

with

//fn_change_order_status($order_id, STATUS_INCOMPLETED_ORDER, '', fn_get_notification_rules(array(), false)); // incomplete to increase inventory

P.S. Make database backup hust in case

thanks, look like this works

ok, compression is working now...

I did google a bit about using this line... zlib.output_compression = On

Finaly I moved it from .user.ini file to config.php in this look... ini_set("zlib.output_compression", 4096);

...and voila, it works :-)

The Viva Shop demo doesn't have a problem. https://gtmetrix.com...5204y5/gk3tQDMj

...to be honest, you should compare final skin site, which is one step ahead from where you stoped... but anyway you are right, viva site result OK in pagespeed test... https://gtmetrix.com...dic2Ys/NIx06LHy

The problem is that Im stucked with slow site and being persuaded that VIVA skin is not the problem, .htaccess setting is correct and server is configured to allow compression... it would need more deeper look I think  :neutral:

Hi and thanks for help.

Only line in your step 3 was missed in my .htaccess, Unfortunately no change when testing with PageSpeed, still recommneding compression activation. Rest of mod_deflate lines are same as shown above.

You can check results here... https://gtmetrix.com...cky.cz/e15204y5

My server provider confirmed that all switches on server/PHP side is ON and ready to use compression features, They only recommend to add file .user.ini with this line: zlib.output_compression = On

So Im suspicious if VIVA theme is somehow overriding this settings...

Any other idea? :-)

Thanks
