#298501 Gdpr Policy In The Eu

Posted by FDGWEB on 20 March 2018 - 07:09 PM

The right to forget does not apply to order information, unless you are somehow making the order information displayable in a public manner. (e.g. Bob just purchased  x,y,z on our store)

#294671 Intel Cpu Vulnerability Alert

Posted by FDGWEB on 02 February 2018 - 06:02 PM

We're seeing anywhere from 5 - 30% CPU slowdown after patches have been applied. This will persist until the next generation of chips gets to market I'm afraid.

#243666 Erroraccess Denied: Possible Csrf Attack

Posted by FDGWEB on 22 February 2016 - 05:17 PM

We've seen this ... if you have a VPS or dedicated server you should check the value of max_post_size & max_input_vars.

Increase both of them until you no longer see that error.

If you do not have access to this setting ... look for.. or create a php.ini file and adjust there.

The values will look like:

upload_max_filesize = 10M

post_max_size = 10M

max_input_vars = 10000;

#185710 Registration Fee For Vendors

Posted by FDGWEB on 13 June 2014 - 10:37 PM

We just built out a process for a client where you sign up as a vendor, they then manually approve you .. (have to be vetted) - then it sends them out a link to purchase their membership. Once purchased, you change the status to approved from new, and it emails out the welcome email and a link to set up their password.

Basically, it sets a hidden password .. then emails a password reset link. This is because the client didn't want to have to set up passes and manually send them out all the time.

I like eComLabs idea of just initiating it all with a customer account instead though... which would work if the client wanted to start everything off with the purchase.

In our case, only vendors appropriate for the shop are allowed .. hence why you cannot just buy first.

#151787 Does CS-Cart integrate with UPS Worldship?

Posted by FDGWEB on 27 December 2012 - 08:31 PM

We are working this through right now for a client and it's a large undertaking. Since you are sending data back and forth through the web service .. and not just doing a standard ping and post like you would for a rate look up .. it touches a lot of different things.

The expected outcome when we are done is to have a staff member be able to select an order and schedule the shipment right there, then update the order status and be done.

We'll keep this thread updated .. as we are only in the review stage right now.
