CS-Cart Smart phone Addon Tech Preview

Has anyone seen or tried this?

I apologize if this has already been brought up in the forums, the search isn't always the best.

Easy fix? Make order notifications FROM "customer email" instead of "Compan...

09 August 2012 - 08:30 PM

My client wants to me to change the NEW ORDER NOTIFICATION email.

The "from:" is currently our company name, which is set as "email@company.com" entered in the admin panel > settings > Company > Order department e-mail address

They would like it to make the email appear in their inbox as From: "customerEmailAddress@whatever.com"

The .tpl files in the Mail section only deal with the body of the various messages, so I think I have to change the lib/phpmailer/class.phphmailer.php file:

  /**
   * Sets the From email address for the message.
   * @var string
   */
  public $From			  = 'root@localhost';
  /**
   * Sets the From name of the message.
   * @var string
   */
  public $FromName		  = 'Root User';

This looks like the right place, but I suck at PHP.

Some people on this forum are PHP Gods, anyone know a quick fix for this?

Also, I'm using the "via PHP mail function" for my emails.

Question about Ultimate

01 June 2012 - 04:03 PM

I want to purchase ultimate and combine my eCommerce sites.

But I want to know how the database works. If I have sites on different servers, will they all be hitting the database on one server? Will that bog down the store on that server?

Or do all the stores need to be on the same server?

Showing Credit Card Info in Customer Emails

05 April 2012 - 11:12 PM

When a customer buys something from my store, it automatically sends a confirmation email that shows the user's full credit card number in plain text. It also shows the expiration date and CVV2 number.

This is very bad.

All of the other status changes send emails to the customer with the numbers obscured.

Why is the initial confirmation email showing their credit card numbers? I've gotten complaints from customers that will never shop with us again!

Once per Customer Promotion

24 February 2012 - 03:53 PM

I'm hoping a CS Cart mod will jump in on this one:

How does the "once per customer" option work in the promotions?

Does it prevent re-use of the promotion by the user's login details? If so what details, just the username or shipping billing address, too?

Or does it limit the use by IP address?

The reason that I want to know is, I'd like to be able to anticipate how many users will be able to game the system by using a proxy ip or creating new logins to receive the promotion multiple times.

If I was an evil hacker and saw a "use only once" coupon, I would try both methods. (Of course, I'm NOT an evil hacker...)
