Also, does anyone know if it's possible to get the dashboard looking more like it did in version 3? I especially miss the "Latest Comments and Reviews" section.

Another thing I liked better about the v3 dashboard was that the sales figure for the month compared this month so far with the previous month by that same time, rather than the whole month as it does now. You could see at a glance how this month's sales are going by comparison to the same day last month.

Not all changes are for the better. I hope this functionality can easily be brought back.

I do not use chrome, so not too worried on my end about admin crashing, but does it work fine on the storefront?


I think it's OK when people are browsing, but they get the "Aw Snap" thing when they log in.

We don't handle credit cards directly either so it's a nuisance when there is a phone order. Have never had a customer that was reluctant for us to process the payment directly into a virtual terminal - perhaps its the way we explain to them (never thought about it before maybe they think we're putting it into a card machine). Anyway, as long as we don't write down, or record anywhere, any credit card details we remain PCI compliant.


We just place the order through the website as if they were doing it themselves. We never write anything down, like Barry says, and therefore remain compliant.

As long as the Billing address section is displayed in the first place on the checkout page, the radio button of the Email profile field should be selected in the Billing address section on the Customers > Profile fields page of your CS-Cart admin panel.

4.0.2 is supposed to be released this month and will have an import tool. I'd wait at least that long, as scooterlord said.

There have been several reports on these forums that Bugtreat's templates introduce some kind of malware into sites, producing the kind of stuff you posted here. I'd say contact Bugtreat support about it.

4) During checkout, step 2 I have to fill in my name again? I just did that... I know this is a cs-cart thing but it's very easy to fix and take over the name from step 1 to step 2. This really confuses and annoys people after which they'll think... f-that.. i don't even need this stuff and go away.


Flow, do you mind sharing how to do this?

I used PayPal Pro for about four years but quit a couple of months ago. The main reason for quitting is that by using Stripe, I don't have to pay a gateway fee (PayPal's is $30.00 a month). So, I now use Stripe for credit cards and anyone who wants to pay with their PayPal account still can using PayPal standard. I'm using the extra $30 month in my bank account to otherwise improve my site.

CS-Cart already has all the necessary hookups for PayPal Pro. Once you sign up to the service, you just need to set it up as your payment processor and go with it. I have to say that for the years I used it, it worked pretty much flawlessly. There are step by step instructions in the knowledgebase I believe for how to enter the settings.

That's very discouraging.

I've recently upgraded my site and am still picking up the pieces. A couple of days ago I discovered that during the upgrade, a bunch of my URLs were changed (any product that had a period as part of the name...which lots of mine do because they are book authors), Google picked them up and is now reporting all kinds of crawl errors and duplicate content. I've spent hours going through my webmasters account and trying to track down and correct all the errors. That's on top of the fact that there is no easy skinning system for v3 like there was for v2.

And according to what you've written here, all of this awaits me again if I would want to upgrade to 3.1.x.

I agree with everyone else here. Martfox is at fault here, not CS-Cart...though I would add that if this happens repeatedly, CS-Cart should remove their right to resell.

You're going to be hosting with them, right? You better be chasing them up. You'd better know the best and quickest way to get hold of them if something goes wrong with your site. Your attitude and statements here are a bit baffling.

Is it true that we lose the rights to any reviews we import into Yopto, and any reviews that are made through Yopto on our site? If trure, I would think that alone would be enough to keep anyone here using it.

I purchased the addon a few days ago and have just installed it. Also just got my first order and it showed up in my Stripe Dashboard instantly. I'm going to keep using it going forward. I'll let you know if it continues to work well.
