I've purchased a couple of SimTech addons and their support has been very good thus far.

#239611 Reward Point Report.

I voted for it.. and I would love to have a cron job that would auto e-mail customers that have outstanding rewards points if they haven't ordered anything in XX number of days.  Great tool to bring customers back.

#184899 Re: Critical Security Vulnerability In Cs-Cart And Multi-Vendor 2.x.x To 4.1.2

Posted by racingsolution on 03 June 2014 - 03:36 AM

I have an idea.. how about we create a thumbs.php file and put it in the JS folder.. that way if someone pings it, it can send you an email to let you know of an apparent hack attempt.

** Edit.. Here is some code you can use. Save this to thumbs.php and put it in your JS folder. It will redirect them to your store closed page.

<?php
date_default_timezone_set('America/Los_Angeles');
$from = "your@email.com";
$subject = "HACK ATTEMPT WARNING";
$message = "There has been a hack attempt at " . date('l jS \of F Y h:i:s A') . " using js/thumbs.php";
mail("notification@email.com",$subject,$message,"From: $from\n");
header( 'Location: http://www.yourstore.com/store_closed.html' ) ;
?>

I personally have never had to use phone support with my host.. The support team responds to my tickets in under 10 minutes every time.

#120918 Fatal error: Call to undefined function fn_get_shipping_service_data() in /co...

Posted by racingsolution on 03 September 2011 - 08:26 PM

I have it in 2.2.1

function fn_get_shipping_service_data($service_id)
{
	static $services = array();

	if (!isset($services[$service_id])) {

		$service = db_get_row("SELECT intershipper_code, code, module FROM ?:shipping_services WHERE service_id = ?i AND status = 'A'", $service_id);

		if (empty($service)) {
			$services[$service_id] = false;
			return false;
		}

		if (!empty($service['intershipper_code']) && Registry::get('settings.Shippings.intershipper_enabled') == 'Y') {
			$service['module'] = 'intershipper';
			$service['code'] = $service['intershipper_code'];
		}

		$services[$service_id] = $service;
	}

	return $services[$service_id];
}

Most of business lately has been coming from Google searches. My products spider very quickly and on my more popular products, I'm #1 on the 1st page.

#116712 How I Can Displaying The Shipping Cost Below The Price

Posted by racingsolution on 09 July 2011 - 04:25 PM

I edited /skins/**YOUR_TEMPLATE**/customer/blocks/product_templates/default_template.tpl

and added this code. I set the freight shipping value manually for each product.

{if ($product.shipping_freight > 0)}
<p class="price">Shipping: ${$product.shipping_freight}</p>
{/if}

#66088 How to use payment method icon in checkout process.

Posted by racingsolution on 05 January 2010 - 03:58 AM

Here's a "HowTo" on how to use the payment option icons

Open template: "/skins/YOUR_TEMPLATE/customer/views/checkout/components/payment_methods.tpl"

Find

<td> </td>
<td>{$pm.description}</td>

Add below:

<td><img src="./images/{$pm.payment|lower|replace:' ':'_'}.jpg"></td>

Here's how it works
In Admin->Payment Methods, the "Name" you define for each payment method is key. Keep it simple. The little smarty code we added to the template basically takes your payment method name, converts it to lowercase, replaces any spaces in it with "_" underscores. For example. My two payment method names are "Credit Card" and "PayPal". Credit Card becomes "credit_card" and paypal becomes "paypal".

The code added to the template adds one more table column and inserts an image tag. By default, it will look in CSCartRoot/images folder. The filename it looks for will be based on your Payment Method name.. i.e. "credit_card.jpg" and "paypal.jpg"

Thats it! If you decide to add a new payment method, all you have to do is create the icon for it and put it in your images folder.

*Note* I mentioned keeping your payment method names simple. If you put one as "Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard/Discover), this template code will look for a weird filename that looks like this: "credit_card_(visa/mastercard/discover).jpg" .. Much easier to just call it "Credit Card".

Also, I do not use payment method descriptions for any of mine. it will effect the look of this code if you do
