We had spent quite a bit of time in order to compare commercial and open source shopping carts before we chose cs-cart. We have been very happy with cs-cart so far.

We would like to thank the cs-cart team and community for their invaluable support.

Please check our web site www.appealingweddingbands.com . Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Appealing Wedding Bands

Real nice website! Clean, good looking and images are really nice.

I especially like what you did with the Prototype Tooltip rollover to provide features/details for each ring. Nice.

Couple of suggestions:
Top right menu is being pushed against the right side of the page by your header logo width = 846px: http://www.appealing...header_logo.jpg

I would make this width 746px by cutting off 100px of the right side of the image.

This also might help your webiste "fit" on the 1024.x786 monitors, right now it's causing the dreaded "horizontal" scrollbar on this resolution.

There is also some Javascript errors I'm getting that need to be addressed as you might find something isn't working correctly, like a form.

If you look at your sight in IE you will see in the bottom-left corner of the status bar the error, double click that for the specific details of the error.

Great Job!

Thanks a lot for the feedback WebGuy. The web site is error free now.

We added feature filtering functionality for the product listings. In addition, we modified and merged the navigation and sort tpls.

In the near feature we want to add faceted search support which is similar to search by filter in cs-cart version 2. We are planning to use a full-text engine like solr in order to increase the search performance.

We will share the design changes with the community soon.

Thanks,

Robert

Nice site but the tooltip is very slow(and no cache) to show up and in this case it's not nice for the customer to display. I'm using Firefox 3.

We changed the default blue skin of cs-cart. In the beginning it took some time; however,
it was pretty easy once we got used to it.

We can not share the files but we will explain the changes that we have made on a separate thread. I read many discussions on the forum while I was designing the web site. I suggest beginners to read forum threads before start working on design changes.

Frankly, we changed the default blue skin of cs-cart. In the beginning it took some time; however, it was pretty easy once we got used to it. You need basic programming, html and css skills.

Thank you for the feedback Joe.

I am also using Firefox3. But, I don't have the speed issue. However, I found that the tooltip was not loaded properly and I fixed it. Could you please check it again and let me know if it is still slow.

Hi, it's a bit faster now. However, the tooltip is not shown immediately when the mouse is over the product. Did you use ajax to load the tooltip?

Hi, it's a bit faster now. However, the tooltip is not shown immediately when the mouse is over the product. Did you use ajax to load the tooltip?

Yes, I used ajax. However, the tooltip delay was used on purpose. It is very annoying if you show the tooltip without any delay. It looks very cheap.

Sometimes users move the mouse in order to click on something else on the same page. Imagine that a user is not interested about products but wants to select a new category. So, if you just popup tool tips, it looks frustrating because the user's intention is not to see a product's detail. The delay helps you to understand the user's intention. If the cursor does not stay on a product image some time don't show the tooltip.

Actually, this is an interesting discussion. I would like to learn the ideas of the other community users. Any suggestions about the tooltip delay?
