CS-Cart 2.0 is out!

Dear CS-Cart users,

We are proud to announce that the final version of CS-Cart 2.0 is available now. The result of nearly a year of work, this release signals a new stage for CS-Cart shopping cart software.

Version 2.0 is a significant stride towards overall flexibility and usability. Preserving the functional approach to programming, the architecture of the software has been completely improved for developers to enhance its functionality. Now it is possible to customize the software without any (or with minimum) modification in the source code.

CS-Cart 2.0 comes with a brand new design and a set of extra skins. A number of exciting features (such as layout block manager, design mode, web-based upgrade center, product filters and others) are introduced in this release. For a complete list of changes and improvements, please, refer to a changelog.

The CS-Cart team thanks you all for active participation in testing beta versions since your feedback helped us to reach the point of stability much earlier. We believe this profound shift in our concept will be appreciated by you, as all of this has been done to make your ecommerce more efficient and lucrative.

Cool!!!

$265.00 per license. Can I assume that if you have a license it is free? Maybe this has been asked and answered.

You have free upgrades for one year with your cs-cart license. If it is still within your one year you can go and download it from your login area.

Why is there no price raise yet?

There are not too much templates in the package…

I’m curious when will be released the first service pack.

You’ve been around since October 2006 so you probably have Free lifetime updates. I think the 1 year thing didn’t start until summer, 2008. You might want to check with CS-Cart though.

Almost none of mods available free here in forum are not installed. As of yet I don’t see a good reason to migrate from 135

You’re right about that. I downloaded it this morning.

I kind of agree. While cs2 looks really cool, there are a lot of mods that I need that were created for 1.3.5. I am really hesitant to upgrade for a while until the mods catch up!

If we’ve made changes in our current version, can we upgrade & not lost those changes? I.e. changes to footer, top menu, etc.

Basically 2.0 is a whole new cart. All your design changes will have to be redone. According to Snorocket there will be a package available to upgrade your database, but not the designs.

Can we use the BrickWork Steel Skin on 2.0 version.
