I would like to make my category page as my welcome page
is there anyway to do this in the code and not with htaccess?
Is there a way to pass the category id to the page…somehow?
here is the page I am working on

I would like
[url]http://www.cardigannewyork.com.php5-11.websitetestlink.com/index.php?target=categories&category_id=1[/url]
to be the default landing page.
Please help.
