When comes the Cs-Cart 2.0 Stable

Hello Cs-Cart Team, when comes the next Cs-Cart Stable Version? But with the new Design.

??

THX

id like to know too, how is the beta testing going?

Why I feel it is not easy to use 2.0 beta as in 1.3.5? For example, I have to click twice to use bulk add products function. And, the frontstore is still not user friendly and buggy.

I feel so sad…

okay thanks joe. just contacted sales. it will be one to two months before its stable. i was starting another store a nd was interested in 2 but ill stick with the current

For production use? I think at least one year later! We need time to test it in the real world.

I decided to use sp4 for now. I generally wait for SP2 on a new version. SP1 fixes the problems found after a significant number of the “stable” new version is released, installed and tested and then SP2 fixes the problems SP1 may have created.

I will wait for cs-cart 2.0 SP4, that would be a really stable version.

The problem with this is shortly thereafter, Version 3.0 will be out and you would want that.

How come you can develop mods for cs-cart 2.0 when the source code is not available yet?

Thank you.

I did sort of wonder that myself. If the stable version has changes from the beta version, couldn’t that interfere with the mods you’re creating.

CS2 is based on MVC (model-view-controller) architecture, basically meaning that you can create addons that will be using core pieces of the CS2 architecture through hooks in the addons, when CS updates the core, because the addons are hooked through to the core code, the addons will essentially inherit the update. Most of the bug fixes CS is working on is on the core functionality of the software, if all works as intended you should be able to create addons that will not be effected by these upgrades and bug fixes.

I have tried all the betas and they are a completly dissaster… first version it´s compressed in UNIX/LINUX and it was hard to extract, it didnt work correctly lots of bugs. Next version mysql was almost the same and the third one I have upload to few different servers and always same errors ( skins ).

It´s me or I think CS-CART 2.0 has got less options and is not so complet as older versions?
lots of bugs.
That’s why they call it “beta”, instead of complaining in hopes that your problems will be resolved, you need to report them through the bug tracker…
first version it´s compressed in UNIX/LINUX and it was hard to extract
the compressed file is not a bug, the bugs are in IE, I don’t think anyone else has had problems downloading and unzipping the files…

if you can’t find any of the 100+ new features and 10+ new addons in CS2 then your going to have more problems then dealing with bugs and complaining…

Hi snorocket, how about my questions?

I believe Sno does have access to the code. I also believe he has been working closely with the CS developers for this new version which is why he knows so much about the new version and has been helpful explaining everything.
