SiteTrust Customer Feedback

Hi,

The SiteTrust Network provides Trust Seals and customer feedback solutions to approved online merchants. Their services are designed to increase visitor confidence and improve online sales.

That’s the official blurb. I’ve used SiteTrust for some time now, originally on my osCommerce site. Now that I’ve migrated to CS-Cart, I asked SiteTrust to provide me with the same features for CS-Cart which they did within a couple of days!

I’ve found the SiteTrust feature to be very worthwhile and if you’re on the lookout for a feedback system, they are well worth considering.

Mhh, bad not multilanguage :frowning:

I also highly recommend Site Trust. It works very well providing you actually give great customer service, and of course get the feedback. It has certainly helped our sales.

Just another “Trust” website like dozens of other ones…

Correct Noman! There are indeed plenty out there.

But it works for me. I do understand it limitations, but our customers read the feedback and that helps conversion rates.

The thing is, they don’t do anything special to check your business and help customers in case of any trouble. You by this “trust” for 59 bucks and that’s it. This is misleading customers. Their domain name is registered for 3 years! I can do better as my one is for 7 and ranked 1 in Google for the last 3. [IT related]

I’ve seen plenty of those website run by some interesting individuals. Once, I decided to go with a free seal. A few days later they called me if I want to upgrade to the premium one for 79$. And this was going on for another 2 weeks. Calls everyday. Feed up, I removed the sea land told them to … [fill in yourself]

There are 2 or 3 companies in the UK you can go with, but very dear. And also, they won’t do any harm to you in case customers complain about your website because they’re after your money! The only help people can get is from their banks if refund is needed.

The only way you can gain trust is to work hard on different forums, blogs, be honest, have a phone number you answer, reply to emails and and kindly, ask your customers to write reviews about the experience they have on your website. This works. Recommendations are far better than any useless “trust” seals.

Far comments Noman.

The main reason we use Site Trust is for the testimonials, and that they are handled outside our business. I know you are quite right, but it does add a bit of cred from a customers point of view.

I also 100% agree about looking after our customer, even before they purchase. We have our phone number all over our site and answer calls 9am to 8pm 7 days. We reply quickly to every email. We go the extra mile as much as we can. We get LOTS of referrals.

The Site Trust seal does no real verification really and doesn’t scan for Malware etc etc. Yes, it’s limited.

There is no one answer to success, but a combination of super service, great product that has a willing market at the right price is the way. There are a few addons (not necessarily required) that can ‘help’ conversion a bit. Site Trust is just one of those that helps us convert.

I’m enjoying this discussion mate

I’ve written in this forum before about site seals in general and why I think most are useless. However, one of the things I like about sites like SiteTrust, or Bizrate, or whatever (personally we use RatePoint), is that they give customers an independent 3rd party platform for endorsements and/or testimonials on a business (not a product). It’s completely different than testimonials that are posted directly on your site. In fact, I do not trust, at all, testimonials that are posted on a web site as they can be easily manipulated by the site owner. We can’t edit our reviews on RatePoint, we can respond, but a bad review will stand (luckily we haven’t had any yet).

Whether or not customers are savvy enough to know the difference between 3rd party sites like RatePoint, compared to testimonials on a web site, it does put the site owner on their game as they know that by using Ratepoint the possibility is there for their site to get a bad review. Does it install customer trust? Hard to say, but I think it does. I know we like it.

I agree. Trust seals are not everything but they can help if you choose the right one. Every advantage point is worth taking. But in the end it's what's quoted above that has the strongest effect.

If you really want to pay for those type of addon, than i think resellerratings.com will be helpful
