Quickbooks Integration Module

Looking for interest in those who use quickbooks.

We have been talking to a firm who does Quickbooks integration for shopping carts called Webgility (www.webgility.com) and if you take a look, you can see other carts who work with them using their Ecommerce Connector.

Check out the features, it looks great.

But i’m wondering if anyone using CS would be interested in also using webgility?

Please answer the poll so we can possibly look into further discussions with Webgility on CS integration.

Thanks guys.

You can read all the features on their site, but they allow for use of payment gateways through QB and you can set your CS gateway to “manual” and using their desktop application to process the order, it would in turn, update CS-Cart with the order information, so both systems are in sync.

They are currently working on UPS shipping, but have USPS and FED Ex.

They are also working on Quickbooks U.K and AU versions for those country specific customers.

Hello,

I have been using writeitonce.com sucessfully with another cart and plan on using it with CS-CART. Would look at other applications.

My requirement is that if an option contains 'SKU#XXX" then a line item would be created in Quickbooks, if not, then no line item. Also, a file is created for Endicia to import ( I don’t use UPS or Fedex). Will look to see if webgility can do this, then might be interested.

Thanks,

Bob

They support Endicia out of the box.

As for line items, it is something I can ask and get back to you.

Response from Webgility to your questions:

[QUOTE]In regards to item matching, eCC can be configured to handle product variants. Check out the help page that has a screenshot and details: [URL]The Modern Commerce Workspace | Webgility

If you have customers that are looking for additional/advanced matching, we can certainly review those requirements and incorporate into eCC as part of enabling CS-cart support.

We offer the entire eCC help online so customers can learn about the application in detail. You can find help for various versions here: [URL]The Modern Commerce Workspace | Webgility

I would be interested but have a sneaking suspicion that it won’t support my mac version…

Yes, the desktop client is Windows only as of now. I will ask if they are working on a Mac version and get back to you.

Mac client is NOT on their horizon at this time. :frowning:

yeah… I think it’s about time to switch from my boat anchor to windows…

Everyone Plz take the time to vote.

im 100% in agree with getting something that will integrate with quickbooks and cs cart cause i try the export way and does not work

Thanks for taking the time to vote. The more feedback we get the better off we can evaluate integration points with other vendors and make CS as a whole, better. This is the first one I have worked with and the more votes we get and sooner, the faster we can talk about integration and then look for the next area for improvement.

so please take the 5 seconds to vote.

Thanks.

Hi,

I contacted webgility concerning certain requirements I have, and they have not gotten back to me. If they can do what I need, I would be interested, otherwise, I will use what I am currently using.

I asked them what you posted here and responded above.

If you have specific concerns let me know and Ill talk to them.

et have you heard anything from them yet ? i mean is it up and ready to get or do we have to wait awhile ?

I have been in contact with them, but it’s in CS-Carts hands as to how they want to proceed with the partnership.

Webgility is ready to move but I’m waiting for CS’s leadership to respond.

im getting ready to upgrade from quickbooks pro 2006 to quickbooks pro 2009 as soon as i can get the funds to do so

so hopefully i will be able to figure out how to use quickbooks sucessfully

Why not use T-Hub’s quickbooks manager? We use it for our current shopping cart and will use it when we switch to CS-Cart. It has a some php code you throw in the cs-cart directory and he grabs all your orders automatically every X minutes.

I missed this thread when the poll was open. I’m a bit torn as to whether this approach is better than the one I finally settled on.

I like much of what I see. I like the direct connection w/ the store to download / update orders. I’m a little concerned about adding an additional interface where you do your actual inventory / customer / order management, when what I really feel I need is the simple abilities to:

  • Import my day’s orders into quickbooks where I currently handle all of these functions, and …
  • update order status (and the resulting update in product quantities) in CS-C after processing orders in QB.
  • updating / syncing product prices & quantities after receiving new product from vendors

On the other hand, this approach seems like it adds additional functionality that I can’t get (and have learned to stop hoping for) when processing my orders directly in QB (i.e. USPS shipping integration, multiple payment gateways). One function I really think is needed is decent partial order backorder support … I didn’t dig into the documentation far enough to see how that is handled) but I had hoped CS would implement this in the next major revamp.

I contacted these folks something like 9 months ago and they offered customization, but I decided to pass largely because I didn’t want to be the guy to pay for their development time and due to the concern expressed above. I also contacted T-Hub around the same time. They didn’t offer a CS-C version at the time, also offered customization but were too expensive. Note that if you want to update the store after processing orders w/ T-Hub, you need the “Pro” version at $650 currently ($950 normally?). If I remember right both of these have some limitations on how many sites they’ll support, but things have obviously changed since I did my research.

I settled on using Transaction Importer Pro. It’s nowhere as full featured as this product, is $200, and acts simply as an importer. The version I own reads .csv files. I did enough experimentation in CS-C to know I’d be able to generate the file it needs, but as I’m still on a different system I’ve not finished that task. I am using it for my current system. Once the CSV file is generated by the cart, it’s a matter of a few clicks to get it into QB and does not use the IIF file import which can corrupt your QB database. One nice feature is that you can configure your default settings via command-line commands placed in the shortcut that launches the program. To update the site after transactions however, you would need their exporter tool. I got a notice recently after a feedback survey that they have added the ability to directly connect w/ store databases. I have no idea how this works or if it would work w/ CS-C.

I’d probably seriously consider this if available, but would want to test it thoroughly before I’d abandon my current approach.

    .

T-Hub is currently an available product.

E-Commerce connector from webgility.com is currently being developed and scheduled for release early next year.
