I am with FastComet an quite happy but I am a little worried.

I was poking around cpanel and clicked on Resource usage limit.

"You have reached the limits within the past 24 hours"

Tech advised that the following process has caused the message:

lsphp:/home/xxxxxxou/public_html/xxxxxx.php

They have suggested I hire a certified web developer to find out why.

Not funny.

Does this process normally cause a spike in usage ?

Hello!

Could you please clarify, what is hidden under xxxxxx.php, is this index.php or the admin panel script?

Also you need to contact them for additional details, what exactly in the process of this script led to the spike: was it some SQL query or some long running process with high CPU usage?

Looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely yours, CS-Cart Support Team

My host's reply.

"Thank you for reaching FastComet tech support.

I understand that you are referring to the following file which has caused the issue:

lsphp:/home/xxxxhou/public_html/myadminpage.php

Based on the issue, it appears that the process has stalled or has resulted in subsequent processes to be spawned which is what essentially lead to the issue with the resource usage.

Kindly note that this file is part of your own content and we are not familiar with the task that it performs, due to which we would advise you to ask the developer to review it.

We have not received any alerts regarding slow/stuck MySQL queries for your account and the issue was caused due to the stalled/excessive process.

If there is anything else that we can help with, feel free to let us know. We remain at your service."

Could you please let me know if have ran import or some bulk actions recently? That could be the reason of spike in the resources usage.

I was running some test imports from Shopify using 3 products and associated images. The images imported quickly so no major file sizes were involved.

How is the load now? And what kind of server do you have?

It could also be an attack, a script trying to inject something into the database, anything. I regularly see crazy peaks in load as well (as if we have 200 customers shopping at the same time).

BTW nothing bad about fastcomet, I was with them for 2 years or so and quite happy but the support became a lot less knowledgeable in the last year or so (or more busy?), so on advice of my developer I switched to Zahid and my store runs even better with a considerably lower TTFB. They really seem to know cs-cart there and the support is very personal.

All mostly OK although it happened a few more times recently
and the spikes are showing as 'faults'.
lsphp:/home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/myadminpage.php

So...just what does this script ( or whatever ) normally do
and where is it ??
