Paypal Intermittingly Leaving Orders Open

Using CS-Cart Ultimate 4.9.2.SP2 with 3 storefronts and PayPal. About 75% of the PayPal orders come in Open. But oddly 25% come in correctly as Processed. Every day we have to cross check Cs-Cart orders against PayPal and it is getting tiring. It doesn't seem to be happening on one store more than another and I can't figure out why some orders do come in correctly as Processed. Even when I submit a test order sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Weird.

Appreciate any help. Anyone seen this before or have any ideas. I find it odd that it works sometimes.

Ask hosting to check server access logs.

There can be 2 reasons:

1. IPN notifications are not sent by PayPal

2. IPN notifications are not processed correctly by CS-Cart

I understand that. Can you provide some technical insight on what I should be looking for and how to test and see if I am getting the correct IPN response from PayPal.

At first check if IPN requests are tracked by your server. If yes, the issues should be found in CS-Cart

Sorry, I need more information on how to do this.

I looked at the Paypal IPN History and the transactions say

&payment_status=Completed

Why does Cs-cart leave them Open?

It was many years ago in an early version so I don't think I have teh code now. Also Cs cart had a bigger problem with this issue in teh old days now it is not so bad compared to before.
