The main problem with this is the outdated version of Smarty (as error handling was altered slightly in PHP) . Also, from my exprience, all issues that I had with running CsCart on PHP 8 were related to either libraries having deprecated syntax or Smarty. Seeing as almost all libraries except for smarty have been upgraded ever since, I think its not going to be long. We might see it in 4.15 for all I know.
I am currently running on 8.1 of php. Maybe i haven't found what broke but people are buying and browsing the store just fine.
