Just wondering if there is a CS-Cart guru who can update my recaptcha to a stronger form as the amount of fake registrations on my website is sending me nuts. I have been blocking them in cpanel but it's been an ongoing problem now for 6 months.

For reCaptcha 2 you can set up difficulty in the Google dashboard settings

How do I know if reCaptcha 2 is what is installed on the website?
I am a graphic designer, and I think my web developer might not be working anymore as I have had no contact for about a year now. :(

I just checked my other website and it has the ReCaptcha on there, but this newish website has nothing.
Makes sense why I have all these fake registrations that I have to continually block.
I guess I need to get a quote to do the install.

go into addons>recaptcha and add the recaptch information you can get from your google account
not even sure I have a Google account for this recent website. I think the account I have is only the older website. Maybe I need to get CS-cart techies to do this… nervous I will mess up the website which works fine, just not the fake registrations.

you can create more than one recaptcha with the same google account

HI again, nope, no ReCaptcha addon in the list.
I am scared that I will mess it up trying to add it from the Marketplace.. wrong version or something and will see if there is a way CS-Cart can do the install and troubleshoot it for me. I truly believe it's beyond me as a graphic designer.

What version of CSC? In earlier versions you need to select "Browse all available add ons" at top of Add ons page.
thanks for that… I clicked on the "Browse all available add ons" and it's just the 3 Google ones that are active. Not sure what version this is, I believe it was a custom design and had some updates done about 2 years back pre Covid.
It runs well, just not the Google blocking those fake registrations. (got another 80+ this week and blocked the IPs in CPanel).
What version do you use? Old versions do not support Google reCaptcha. In this case you can find ready-to-use solutions on the marketplace

I guess so.. the 2 websites run fine though and given the craziness of Covid, which has killed off my wholesale wedding and craft supplies import business, and left me with only the newer retail side, which I am trying to build up, I just can't afford to redo the website if it's working fine.
Thanks for letting me know it was a Cart Power addon. Would you recommend I contact them to do an install on the website or just keep manually blocking the spammers in CPanel? I get nervous when I let people into the admin side and my web developer did all the setting up, but he's not responding to emails.
