Adding Text To Category Title

Hi guys,
I am trying to figure out how to add text that will be easy accessible for editor to change and will be displayed just underneath category name on category page.

I know I can use category description but I want to keep it for bigger content and I have moved it to display below products list.

Just wondering if there is a way to display part of the category description above the products list and rest below?

You can put category header to separate block with SMARTY content and place new block with custom description between block with header and Main content block

Could you elaborate on this solution a little more? It sounds as the editing the short description at the top would have to be done per layout, rather than including in the category admin section.

Update category page also has the Layout tab where this description can be edited
