Buy Products Together as a Bundle Package MOD Released

Buy Products Together as a Bundle Package MOD Released

Features

Hi

Does this product, add the single product costs together ie a + b + c = sum or can you set a bundle cost ie a + b + c = sum - %

Is stock reduced for each product in bundle?

Is package is for 1.3.5, 1.3.5 SP1 & 1.3.5 SP2?

Finally on your webpage it says about options, does this mean you can’t add a product with options or can’t add the options?

None of the addresses given above for the Top Coder Pro store is working. Is there a new address?

PLease provide new website address

The CS Addon Club is going to code a Buy Together/Bundle Addon for CS 2.0, join the club, we have more money making mods in the works…

when the new mods will complete ?

1.5 months, about the same time 2.0 is declared stable…

One of the main reasons that attracted me to Cs-cart was that all the plugins (add-ons) were included with the cart. It seems this philosophy has changed for 2.0. This is very concerning to me and probably others. 2.0 should have these features included from the get go. I am willing to wait a few more months, but let’s get 2.0 right with a rich feature set (included with the download) from its initial release date.

What is the purpose of installing a new 2.0, if you immediately have to start making modifications with these third party add-ons?

Four important modifications I am still waiting to see in 2.0 are:

  1. Required Options. Don’t let one add the item to the cart until these options are selected or filled in.
  2. Allow different templates (appearance) for categories. Why do all categories need to use the same template?
  3. Allow different templates (appearance) for product pages. Why do all product pages need to use the same template?
  4. Allow a descriptive paragraph to be included next to a product option.

I agree with 1 however 2-4 are modifications that don’t really need to be in the cart, if cs bloated the cart with every bit of code it would be a complete disaster, in addition 2-4 can be modded pretty easily in ~30 minutes tops…

I know the 2-4 is pretty easy, but the point is it shouldn’t require a mod to do this simple, yet basic e-commerce features. Rarely do I build an e-commerce site that doesn’t need 2-4.

2.0 should have these simple things before it tries to conquer the harder puzzles. Let’s do the basics correct first.

I have lots of suggestions for cs-cart 2.0. Do the basics correct first is all I can say right now…

Plus, cs-cart has already possessed lots of customizations or mods during last few years. Why can’t the team just share these mods and build it into the cart directly.

For example, shipping seperately is supported in most shopping carts. Plus from my opinion, it is not quite hard to implement. I don’t know how many mods like this they have, but I’m sure that there are a lot!

Snorocket is “part” of the “team” he’s both a consultant and coder who just happens to be quite fluent in what he does.

He doesn’t draw an income from Cs-Cart however produces the addons to his cost. That said the items that he’s developed such as the knowledge base wouldn’t and shouldn’t be considered to be part of cs-cart at this time.

We need working and scalable infrastructure and I’ld rather CS-Cart do that for me for nothing than have sno develop it at a cost…

Hence we pay for what we use.

I think Suppliers add-on is a good example. Yes, we pay for the cart then we want features related with shopping cart. Am I right? Shouldn’t all necessary add-ons be integrated into cs-cart to make it the best of all?
