What is the difference between CA and CMA?

The CA program primarily deals with accounting, taxation, law, audit, and finance. Meanwhile, the CMA course deals with cost accountancy, cost management, corporate finance, economics, performance management, internal controls, decision analysis, financial reporting, strategic planning, and organizational management. The CMA focuses of four major areas of study: Business Applications Business Analysis Strategic Management Management Accounting and Reporting The points mentioned below, are some important criterion that CMA candidates upsers should follow: Education: All candidates must have a Bachelors degree, in any area, and from a recognized university or college.

Around 70/75% syllabus of both CA & CMA are same. The difference lies in specialization part. In CMA, one has to read more subjects related to cost accounting & statistics while in CA, one has to study more accounts, tax. The pass % & difficulty level w.r.t exam is more or less equal in both. Hope this is gonna help the readers. Feel free to contact for further information.
