FedEx Shipping Lables module

Hello everyone,

We are proud to announce that FedEx Ship 1.0 module for CS-Cart is released!

Module features:

It allows to quickly generate and print FedEx shipping labels right from the administrator back-end of your store. Before you generate a label you are able to define shipping date and time and FedEx shipping service. When a label is generated it’s displayed on the order details page (administrator area only). Also, the module allows to delete it if necessary.

It supports:

  • Business/Residential delivery
  • Shipping label generation for Domestic and International shipments
  • PNG/PNG6x4 and thermal printers’ label formats (Zebra, Eltron, Unimark)
  • Standard FedEx and Custom sized packages

Recently we released FedEx Ship module for CS-Cart, v1.1, now it supports the latest cs-cart 1.3.5-SP3 :!:

Do you have screenshoots or a live demo, i’m interested in purchasing this for my webpage.

Thanks!

Unfortunately we don’t have a live demo.

Also we are still working on the module documentation, but you can see the screenshots at:

We are not using Fedex, but we are using the UPS mod on 2 of our websites that have 1.3.5 sp4 on them and we love it!

The following thermal printers are recommended with FedEx Web Services:

· Unimark

· Eltron

o Orion (EPL2)

o Eclipse (EPL2)

· Zebra

o LP2443 (EPL2)

o LP2844 (EPL2)

o LP2348 Plus (EPL2)

o Z4M Plus (ZPL or EPL)

o ZP500 (ZPL or EPL)

These printers are all compatible with the ASCII Eltron Programming Language (EPL2) page mode. If your printer supports this programming language it may work as well. Check your printer user’s guide for details.

There is a few steps to configure a thermal printer properly.

First, you should enable printer pooling:

  1. Open the Properties of the Printer
  2. Select the Ports tab
  3. Add a check mark to the Printer Pooling check box
  4. Click on the port(s) corresponding to the print device(s) that are to be

part of the pool to add a check mark to them (USB and LPT1)
  5. Click OK

To print labels in a thermal format you should install a printer driver. To do

so, you need to create a batch file with a text editor.

  6. Open a text editor such as notebook or WordPad on your computer.
  7. If you are printing to a local printer, copy and paste the following:

    copy %1 LPT1

If you are using a network thermal printer, enter the following,

replacing ‘Server’ with the print server name and ‘PrinterName’ with the

    printer’s name: print /d:\Server\PrinterName %1

If you have an ups printer, you should also map the printer to an emulated local port (fake LPT1) with the following command

    net use lpt1: \server\PrinterName /persistent:yes

  8. Save this notebook file as label.bat file on your hard drive (“Program Files” directory on the Windows partition of your hard drive is the best location).

  9. On a Windows computer, from your Start menu, find Windows Explorer. This may be in the Accessories folder.

  10. Click Tools in the folder window, and select Folder Options.
  11. Click the File Types tab.
  12. Click New, enter EPL as the file extension, and click OK.
  13. Click Change on the File Types subtab to set what the file should open with.
  14. Select your label.bat file, and click OK.
  15. Click Close and close the folder window.

After that you would be able to print thermal shipping labels.

If you aren’t able to configure your printer to print labels, please don’t hesitate to contact us using our HelpDesk on our site.
