The add-on allows you to create several profile types for users and vendors. You can configure a set of profile fields for each profile type. Users will see them on registration and checkout pages. Also you can choose a user group to assign users after the registration.

What Problems Does the Add-on Profile Types for Users & Vendors Solve?

Allows You to Create a Separate Set of Profile Fields For Each Profile Type (individuals, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs)

The online stores get more and more orders not only from individuals, but also from legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. It is clear that data required for processing the order and providing related documentation differs for the individuals and legal entities. The same situation is with the vendor registration in the Multi-Vendor edition. The default CS-Cart functionality allows you to configure only 1 set of profile fields for all users without exception. The Profile Types for Users & Vendors add-on solves this problem by allowing you to create a separate set of profile fields for each user and vendor profile type.

Simplifies the Registration and Ordering Process

On the registration and checkout pages your users will see a list of profile types to choose from. Once selected you fill in only those fields that are configured for his profile. Nothing extra.

Improves Order Processing Speed

You get all the required information for processing an order and issuing related documentation immediately, no need to waste time on unnecessary communication.

Checkout With a Different Profile Type

Sometimes a client registered in your store as an individual entrepreneur wants to place an order as a regular user. No problem at all. When placing an order, you can select an appropriate profile type and place an order. Profile type data will be written only to this order, without overriding the data in the registered profile.

We have updated our Profile Types For Users & Vendors add-on to version 1.2 from 19 of October 2023.

What is new:

[+] - The ability to create a filter by vendor profile type was added.
[+] - The ability to show the vendor’s profile type on his product pages and micro store was added.
[+] - The ability to configure the availability of vendor plans depending on the type of vendor profile was added.
[+] - The ability to configure the use of the profile types (only for users / only for vendors / for everyone) was added.
[+] - The ability to assign user groups for default profile types automatically was added.
[+] - The ability to set the default profile type for the storefront was added.
[+] - The ability to use fields of added profile types in Email notification templates was added.
[*] - If no additional user profiles are created, the radio button is not displayed on the storefront.
[*] - On the “Profile Fields” page, the display of profile types is structured.
[!] - In some cases, the “Shipping and Billing Address are the same” checkbox was not displayed. Fixed.
[!] - In Menu > Administration > Profile fields, the names of profile types were displayed incorrectly. Fixed.
[!] - When you entered an incorrect password when logging in on the checkout page, the data entered earlier disappeared from the form. Fixed.
[!] - There were issues exporting the buyer’s TIN into 1C. Fixed.

Dear Friends!

We have updated our Profile Types For Users & Vendors add-on to version 1.3 from 22 of March 2024.

What is new:

[+] - For the Russian payment method “Bank account”, the ability to configure the correspondence of a field with fields of different profile types was added.
[*] - Profile type names are displayed indicating the type (vendors/users and administrators).
[*] - If only 1 profile type is created, the radio button with the name of the profile type is not displayed on the storefront.
[!] - When logging in if the previous session was live, the profile type did not change. Fixed.
