Problems setting UPS shipping

I am having some problem setting up UPS realtime shipping. I get the error listed below when I try to checkout.
Unfortunately no shipping options are available for your location.
Please contact us and we will see about delivering to you.

make sure you have the destinations set up properly, i had that problem too untill i added all of the states. my shipping is my $

zoom4267, when you say add all your states, could you be mor specifice?

go into the locations and go into destinations and youll see the list of countries and states , make sure all of the places ( not sure where you are) are in the left pane, untill i had all of the states in there i got the same message you did

Do you have all the info filled in on teh UPS page including some bogus dimensions for the package? Are you sure your login and key are corrrect? That's a generic message you get when no shipping options are available. YOu need to tell us what you have done before we can really help you.

i am trying to enter an order manually, the customer is in Ca, the message i get is " Unfortunately no shipping options are available for your location.
Please contact us and we will see about delivering to you." in the destinations i just have CT over in the left box, that was the only way i could get the taxes to work properly, does that effect the shipping as well?
any help would be appreciated
I went into manage destinations and added CA, it worked for the shipping but then it added the CT sales tax? what am i missing.
