New Cs Cart B-Line Versions

Hello,

Just found out that CS CART changed completely the product's line.

Is there any information about which version now represents old Ultimate? (B2B+B2C, B2B?) and how it will be updated and supported in the future.

PS. Actually I was expecting CS CART ver. 5 instead of B-line...

Please take a look

Thank you,

I checked this info but it says nothing about version transition ...

Ultimate version was the only one that included unlimited storefronts, etc that means the only version that may substitute it now is "CS-Cart B2B&B2C—the most advanced CS-Cart edition, which includes all the functions of B2C and B2B, plus the multi-store feature"

Hello,

I assume you're referring to the price and feature comparison page at our website. On that page:

  • CS-Cart B2C is standard CS-Cart.
  • CS-Cart Ultimate doesn't appear (but is still available for purchase). Compared to standard CS-Cart, it has multiple storefronts and the "Warehouses" add-on.
  • CS-Cart B2B and CS-Cart B2B&B2C are new products with the tools designed specifically for B2B.

CS-Cart and CS-Cart Ultimate (without B2B tools) are still here. They'll continue to receive updates and support just as usual. If you have more questions about CS-Cart B2C, B2B, Ultimate, etc., it's best to contact us via our website. That way, our specialists will be able to answer your question sooner than I can here.

P.S. As for CS-Cart 5, it has got to happen eventually. However, I noticed that many products in the software development industry are announced only when the significant part of development has been done, and there is something to show.

In the meantime, there will definitely be CS-Cart 4.12.x, 4.13.x, etc. Unlike CS-Cart 5, they have backward compatibility. It means easier upgrades for store owners, especially those who use third-party add-ons.

I hope cs-cart v5 re-designed fully (coding, theme, database), current v4 lagged behind new generation technologies,

also i am waiting PostgreSQL , and PWA frontend for ver5. all big players using since 3-5 years pwa for own frontend's, its give to customers amazing fast pages and high usable.

@ikoshkin if you can talk us about v5 we can discussion on,then cs-cart wont mess up next-gen like common product, and new chekout

Names change, technologies change, versions change but http://demo.cs-cart.comremains same for ever and after :D

Hello,

I checked again and CS CART does exist, now called CS CART B2C for 385 USD (ONE STOREFRONT). But there is no info about ULTIMATE or which version it transformed to now (Closest one with unlimited storefronts is B2C&B2B).

Also I do not understand why should I contact CS CART support center regarding the information that is supposed to be clear and open for everyone not just for me (I do not think I am the only one who bought Ultimate). Which version of CS CART represents ULTIMATE addition now or if it does exist where I can keep downloading new versions? I believe the latest one was 4.11.3.

Thank you for clarification.

As far as I can see, the Ultimate version is still available for purchase

I’m sorry if my previous message wasn’t clear enough.

For existing customers, nothing has changed. CS-Cart and CS-Cart Ultimate still exist, can be purchased, and will continue to receive upgrades. Both of them are just referred as B2C now.

Moving from CS-Cart to CS-Cart Ultimate is as simple as using a license key for Ultimate. So, those who bought CS-Cart Ultimate can now download CS-Cart B2C installation package and use their Ultimate license key with it to get Ultimate features.

P.S. Though I don’t understand why one would need to download new versions from our website, if they already have a store deployed. Upgrades go through the Upgrade Center, and new functionality can be tested at https://demo.cs-cart.com after the release.

I suggested it for different reasons. This is the community forum, where a reply from us isn’t always guaranteed. I noticed this particular thread, could reply to this particular question (to an extent), and I did. What I meant is that I might not be able to reply to future questions about B2B and its functionality here.

The “Contact us” page guarantees a reply from a representative of CS-Cart and ensures that your question gets to the right specialist.

@ikoshkin if you can talk us about v5

Unfortunately, I can’t talk about CS-Cart 5 at the moment. I’ll only be able to do that if/when/once it is officially announced. Please consider anything I say until then as simply my speculation.

This option is available only in help desk, I also have it. But I do not see the download link for the latest version. (Not just upgrade package.)

Where is the Ultimate version on the web?

Please check this link.

Agree with you. Current information is not quite clear

In normal CS-Cart version, we could create an order from admin area with the + sign. (Fast order creation in the admin panel)

Now, in the B2C version it seems it is not included anymore. Is it true?

It's not a B2B procedure, since many B2C e-shops are getting phone calls and need to create orders.

I'm too surprised on this downgrade.

You also removed other B2C functions, like discounts for different user groups. User group is not a B2B term. Many B2C e-shops have different client groups.

I find that these changes were not needed. There are other B2B functions that could have been added to the B2B version. You didn't have to remove these very basic functionalities.

What happens with existing licenses? What if we download v4.11 for an existing license? Do they keep the existing functionality, e.g. Fast order creation in the admin panel?
