Email Templates ("nice And Easy"?)

I was not too sure where to start this topic, so I thought this would be good a place as any.

This is really a curiosity question more than anything. I don't expect anything to change.

When Email Templates was created, Order Statuses wysiwyg editor was removed and any editing that had to be done is to be in the Email Templates section. At the time of the change, cs was calling this "Nice and Easy" or something like that. If the wysiwyg editor was still able to be used, I would agree with that statement. It is a nice place to keep all email templates for editing. But, I am not a programmer and I rely on the wysiwyg editor to translate the code for me. So, for me to make any changes, I have to copy the existing code and paste it into the wysiwyg editor, make any changes, copy that code and paste it back into the email template. This is not nice and easy for me, it's a PIA.

So my question is....why is the wysiwyg editor not used in this area? and do most people not use it and write code themselves?

PS.

If i was not able to use this editor window to write this topic, I would not be writing this topic

Same here, also would be nice field for test email or some preview window

The Gearbox menu (near Save button) in Editing email template contains Preview and Send test email.
