Just wanted to double check. Does orders DB table size makes the web slower? It increased from 50MB to 2G and the web speed now  is 3.6 s instead of 2.3s

Does it make sense to delete o archive that table to improve speed performance?

Yes, it can make the website slower. The database size influences the speed. Old orders can be moved to another table or removed to make the table lighter. However, I would recommend you to check what makes it heavy first.
