Looks like you use Big picture template.

In this case open the following file

design/themes/THEME/templates/blocks/product_templates/bigpicture_template.tpl

and change the following part of code

thumbnails_size=55

Then clear cache

Try to delete the var/cache directory manually. If it does not help, check 3rd party addons
