Google Analytics Ecommerce

according to the documentation, The Google Analytics Add-on simply checking the track e-commerce transactions box will track cs-cart transactions. I have done that and enabled the e-commerce on analytics and added all the necessary tags. No results. Now the Google Account Manager person tells me that my site is missing a data layer that I need for it to work. He is talking about my buying "enhanced ecommerce addons"

Why is the default add-on not doing what it is supposed to do?

Default addon just tracks pages and inform Google about paid orders. It does not contain features of Google Enhanced Ecommerce. 3rd party addons are required to do it.

eCom- It is not tracking/communicating paid orders. My UA is not showing any paid orders. I have had the UA specialist assisting me and they are saying that there is a "layer" of something missing so that It cannot track e-commerce.

what do you mean by inform? Doesn't that mean reporting conversions? Doesn't that mean tracking the sales amount of the conversion?

I have a number of statistics showing on the account, but no sales or conversions showing.

I have added all the tags they want so I can get all the statistics except conversions

Thank you

Unfortunately Google Analytics by some reason will never show all orders in reports (user can have Adblock, Ublock etc, some javascript error may be happened on thank you page).

We have developed addon for CS-cart, which can show correct reports.

Normally it should track all orders properly. The issue might be if you have another Analytic addon or extra tags from Google (Opt ins, Ads tags, etc) on check out landing page. Also the correct main tag should be on all pages.

Check it up with GA debug and Tag Assistant (by Google).

Thank you , will try that

Unfortunately i have never seen project, where Google Analytics can track all orders.
If you like to track all orders, you can try to use kissmetrics, mixpanel or our addon.

Special code is used by the module on the order landing page to send this data to Google. 3rd party addons can override the same hook and disable this feature

retail factory- can you send me a screen shot of the page showing a page of the statistics showing the results received by the add-on?

I tried to access the demo but can't see any result.

Thank you

You need to add Global site tag on every page switch on Google analytics addon with transaction options selected. Works well and register all transactions. 3d party add ons, overrides may cause the issue for original addon to work properly. As I say it is easy to check what you get on order landing page with GA debug.

ok thanks
