Meet Cs-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.10.3 With Billing Address, Apple Pay, Google Pay, And Stripe

We have released CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.10.3. Although it is a patch release, it brings quite a few improvements. Here are the major ones:

1. The ability to add a block for billing address to the new checkout.

2. The ability to set up Apple Pay and Google Pay in your store via Stripe payment gateway.

3. The ability to insert blocks with products into blog pages (and more).

Check the changelog or the article in our blog for more information.

For the time being, we provide upgrades to 4.10.3 in limited numbers: the upgrades go to those who download them first. For the first few days after the release we’ll be increasing the number of available upgrades and then lift the restriction altogether. If you’d like to upgrade among the first, check the Upgrade Center from time to time.

P.S. We have released CS-Cart 4.10.3 SP1. It solves the following problems:
- Translations for language variable “text_billing_address_is_different_from_shipping” in the “Checkout: Billing address” block were missing.
- Notification “Product has zero inventory and cannot be added to the cart” was displayed when a page of out-of-stock product was viewed, and Apple Pay or Google Pay was enabled.

Upgraded successfully from my side with no issues. The new ribbon on the bottom is nice.

Thank you !

Yes, you can set any fields in billing section you need. Please note, that there is no VAT validation functionality.

Hello. Does the Stripe integration come SCA ready? If not, when might that be expected?
Does the integration support Stripe Payment Intents?

Thanks

2. The ability to set up Apple Pay and Google Pay in your store via Stripe payment gateway.

Stripe is limited to availability by country, apple pay & google pay are also available in popular braintree service, would be happy if you add it also in future.

Also please add ability to move location of Place order button in checkout for example to right column in desktop view. This would allow to have more custom look and feel.

Another improvement could be to layout blocks, checkbox to make block sticky, fixed position, meaning it would move down when mouse scrolled. In checkout right column block would move along to very bottom.

Stripe integration in CS-Cart 4.10.3 doesn't support Stripe Payment Intents yet. We are aware of the new requirements, and are planning to implement support of 3D Secure for Stripe (and Stripe Connect in Multi-Vendor) in the coming weeks.

please focus first important bugs ! like thats:

We understand that not every merchant will be able to use Stripe (and therefore, Apple Pay and Google Pay) due to country restrictions. However, it still was the most logical choice: Multi-Vendor already had Stripe Connect, and CS-Cart had no Stripe integration.

Adding an entirely new payment service is a more significant undertaking, and it requires pretty high demand from customers. That's why I can't promise anything. For the time being, Braintree integrations (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) are available from third parties in the Marketplace.

It looks like something that should be achieved by custom modifications. For example, making the block sticky turned out to be very easy with custom CSS classes for blocks/grids. I took the code from https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_sticky_element.asp, added it as Custom CSS in the Theme Editor, then added sticky as one of CSS classes of the right grid.

The Place Order button is currently a part of the Lite Checkout wrapper that is selected for the grid with all the checkout blocks (such as address, etc.) It's more complex, so I can't provide an instruction for that one.

We may introduce such things as settings (e.g., like we've done to the ability to hide blocks on some devices), but only if there is enough demand for it.

Could you please provide a link for the new Stripe payment method user manual ( for a one store account not multi user.)

Also is this basically the same as the paid Simtech version?

If not pro and con? (again for only one store)

Can you easily make refunds from within the new Stripe payment method?

Thank you!

Could you please provide a link for the new Stripe payment method user manual ( for a one store account not multi user.)

The user manual hasn't been published yet, so we added the instruction to the blog announcement for now:

1. Obtain Stripe API keys.

2. In CS-Cart, install the Stripe Payments add-on. It comes with 4.10.3.

3. Create a payment method with Stripe as the payment processor.

4. Copy the API keys from Stripe Dashboard and paste them into the payment method settings in CS-Cart.

5. Select whether you want this payment method to accept credit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. If necessary, set up all three as separate payment methods.

6. If you choose Apple Pay or Google Pay, you'll be given an icon that you should use for the payment method.

Judging by the documentation, their add-on supports Bitcoin (which is no longer be supported by Stripe) and AliPay. Our add-on supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. Unfortunately, that's as much as I can tell.

Simtech (also known here as "CS-Cart team") and Simtech Development are independent from each other, and the add-ons were developed separately. I wish I could offer more information, but if you're interested in the add-on by Simtech Development and its capabilities, it's best to contact Simtech Development directly.

Stripe Payments (single-store) hasn't been integrated with the RMA add-on yet, so it doesn't have the "Give refund via Stripe" checkbox, unlike Stripe Connect for Multi-Vendor. Refunds would have to be handled via Stripe.

Hi,

I've upgrade to 4.10.4. I created variants for product but I can't choose feature values from product page. I can choose from list of options. What did I missed.

Hello,

This article from the documentation should be able to help you. It lists all the necessary steps to create product variations.

Hello,

This article from the documentation should be able to help you. It lists all the necessary steps to create product variations.

I read this article several times. The variation works good and I can choose from the list of the option but I can't choose feature values.

Thank you for the above information.

1) When will you have Alipay?

2) When will you have a refund possible from within the order in the admin zone as I now have with a third party (Webkul) Stripe payment method? Please see below example.

I don't use the RMA add-on so will that be a problem (after you add the ability to make a refund from the admin zone order)?

I make lots of small refunds for shipping adjustments etc so going to Stripe will take too much time...

Adding Stripe is a good idea - thank you.

The only reason I would use CS cart's version is if the features are equal to or better what I have now and then the main reason to change is to make future upgrades easier and faster.

REFUND STATUS:

Total payable amount = $100
Full refund -OR- Partial refund

Full refund

Improvements and development on new functionality usually depend on how many people request this functionality (be it here at the forums, or via Help Desk). Currently, I know about only two planned improvements to our single-store Stripe add-on:

1) Adding 3D Secure support.

2) Making Stripe Payments compatible with add-ons from Multi-Vendor Plus/Ultimate: Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments and Common Products for Vendors.

I read this article several times. The variation works good and I can choose from the list of the option but I can't choose feature values.

I found your other topic. It looks like you're using a custom theme. That could be a reason for the problem, but it's hard to say without investigating it in your store. If you'd like us to look into this for you, please contact our technical support via Help Desk. At the very least, they will determine the cause of the problem, but might ask you to contact your theme developer if the problem isn't caused by CS-Cart itself.

Dobre den Ivan,

Spasibo for your quick response, it is greatly appreciated.

Actually historically since Version 1 CS cart from my memory (and I have been with CS cart from version 1) depended on the vision of the founders with ideas reviewed and considered from customers - but maybe I am not remembering correctly?

Regarding AliPay it may not be that popular (although there are a billion plus people in China) but it is part of Stripe and should be very easy to add. Up to your team if you want to forget about a billion customers...

What is very important is answering my question about the RMA as I don't use it, as we almost never have returns.

1) Will CS cart's Stripe payment gateway fully functional without the RMA add-on?

2) On what date do you plan to release the Stripe manual listing all features etc clearly?

Thanks again for your fast response - it is very helpful.

Our tech support has already confirmed the first bug. Once the bug is fixed, we'll be able to tell you the version that will include the fix.
As far as I see, our specialists are still attempting to reproduce the second issue. They'll reply to you in the bug report.

For more urgent problems, it's best to contact technical support directly via Help Desk:
- It's faster than the bug tracker.
- The support has more ways to investigate the problem and help you.
- If the problem turns out to be caused by a bug in CS-Cart, support credits won't be charged.

i try conect with helpdesk they want extra money for bug fix, that its not acceptable. also please say your developer team. vendor have to manage own RMA requests, vendor have to accept rma, site have to complete payment refund to customer and next rma must have complete....
