New Checkout With 4.10 Help Rate Topic   - - - - -

Posted 20 June 2019 - 11:49 AM #1

Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded my store to 4.10 with the new checkout etc.

What I cannot understand is why the shipping cost now seems to calculate based on the 'city' profile field and not the post / zipcode field.

I tried to edit the 'deliver to' block to replace the 'city' field with the 'postcode' field but it was not an option as far as i can tell.

I also do not understand where a user inputs the billing address should the billing and shipping addresses need to be different.

Does anyone know of a written explanation as to how this new checkout works exactly.

I have reverted back to the old one for the time being.

Thanks in advance for any help!

A lot of people are complaining about this here:

I have not upgraded yet because of it.

I wish I had not upgraded now. I cannot believe they made such radical changes to the checkout process that effectively remove options that were available to customers before the update.

Plus the lack of postcode shipping calculations would be disastrous for us!

The old checkout (the one from 4.9.3) is still working in 4.10 and you can switch to it any time.

Hello Imac

How would we do this?

We have other issues with CS-Cart checkout relating to how it works with orders that have zero value after full order value paid with reward points.

Thaks

Hi Imac,

Thank you for the message. This is what I have done with our site for the time being.

After the 4.10 UPDATE I have noticed another issue that I am unable to solve. I have a product called Candlebag, and as an option you can choose to buy candles together with these candle bags, you can choose 9 different candles.

After this update it is possible to add Candlebags to your cart, but once you choose one of the 9 candles it is no longer possible to add them to the cart, click all you want on Add to Cart, nothing happens.

I had to deactivate all options on the website in order to avoid customers having problems adding a product to the cart.

I have left one product on the website with an option, feel free to try: https://lanternevola...lain-candlebag/

I just did the upgrade....all the way to 4.10.3.

The checkout is messed up. It begins with Shoals, IN set as the city and state and will not allow that to be changed. I change that information and then click to update the shipping methods and it immediately reverts to Shoals, IN (which is my home town). Why is that and how do I fix it?

Unfortunately, our my parcel connection no longer works for the delivery of packages.

Why has the current checkout changed to checkout_step_by_step?
