Simtech Amp Add On Seo Question

So the Simtech AMP add on creates landing pages for the mobile page's of the website. Once a customer clicks the Buy Now button, they're taken to the normal mobile page and they can buy from there. So in essence there's 2 pages for each product, correct?

1. Will Google see the description on the landing page as duplicate content if its exactly the same as the description on the original mobile product page.

2. How does Google rank AMP pages and normal mobile pages? Will they rank separately or rank together as one page?

Not if you set up your amp pages correctly, and the canonicals have been placed right

An AMP page is intended to be a link to a site. It retains context so the user is returned to the place they left off. It's intended to act like an app icon on a mobile device. More info is here: https://www.techopedia.com/definition/32456/accelerated-mobile-page-amp

Hi John - what do you mean by this? As far as I'm aware the add-on does all the setting up? What would I need to do? Thanks

Im not aware of the addon, but however you set up the canonicals, as long as they are correct then google wont have an issue as it just posts a stripped down version that points to the right page.

Im assuming you followed the guide for setting up amp pages and then run the test tool, if you did then youll have no problems.
