Multilanguage - To Seo Or Not To Seo?

If there is no SEO, wouldn't be the URL for the different languages the same, once you have changed the language?

URL will be the same if SEO addon is disabled since selected language is stored in session

How do you think SEs would react to one URL with two different contents? Which language version will be "canonical"? Or pages will be excluded from the index...

Disabled the SEO module and wait for the Google reaction.

When you have two languages to toggle between, it's OK, but 3 or more are pain in the arsh.

PS. Believe it or not, VK cannot process Cyrillic URL...

CS-Cart add hreflang tags to define default language and URLs of the page in all languages. Just check source code of any page on the demo

Yes, I see them - but they are not tagged as canonical; Google should not index them - "nofollow"...

Of course, it is too bad that all currently indexed pages are now 404; there should be kind of reverse redirect from SEO names to system URLs when you disable the SEO addon...

On the other hand, all sitemap.xml is composed of urls containing "&sl=en" and "&sl=ru"

Interesting, if there is no sitemap.xml but only the regular dispatch=sitemap.view with no hreflang tags, which is one and the same for all languages, what will happen? :-)
