How Is Cs Cart Different?

I'm researching options so I can provide a better solution for my clients. I've worked with WooCommerce, Opencart, Hikashop, and Magento, and, from what I can tell, CS Cart has a very similar model: core, then buy add-ons for anything not in core. Looking at the site, I see the term "all-inclusive" thrown around in relation to the purchase price, but if it's all-inclusive, why do I need to purchase add-ons?

I'm a developer, so writing code doesn't scare me, but for ecommerce I'm really looking for a true all-inclusive solution. I'd like to spend the licensing fee and an upgrade fee for major versions.

I'd love to hear from others who have used CS Cart about how CS Cart is different. As far as I can tell, it looks like the exact same model as the other four solutions I mentioned, except that you have to pay for the core (versus the others which are community and free). If I go down this avenue, I'd really like to know that the add-ons are vetted for quality by CS Cart and not just by peer-review.

Regards,

Peter

Hello Peter!

My name is Kate, I am a sales specialist at CS-Cart. I will be happy to assist you.

Please let me explain, Peter.

CS-Cart is a classic model of an online store that has been proved yourself for years. CS-Cart has more than 500 features that help you to get profit from your business. Here is the list of all add-ons that are included in CS-Cart by default without any additional fees:

By the way, recently me and my colleagues have made a big research in comparing some eCommerce solutions and CS-Cart. Please refer to the link to see the whole articles:

Speaking about additional add-ons, we have a great Marketplace that is highly-prized among our clients. If your project requires custom functionality, most likely, you won't need to waste time on custom development – there are many ready-to-use add-ons in our Marketplace.

I'm a developer, so writing code doesn't scare me, but for ecommerce I'm really looking for a true all-inclusive solution. I'd like to spend the licensing fee and an upgrade fee for major versions.

That’s fantastic, that you are a developer and can play with a code to reach some features at your store. CS-Cart is highly customizable as we provide an access to the open source code. That’s why our technical writer has written a ton of articles for developers. I suppose it will be very useful for you:

Peter, you are absolutely right about the balance of the cost and features out-of-the-box. Please contact me sales@cs-cart.com with a topic “For Kate” to discuss this topic in more details.

I hope the information is useful for you.

Look forward to your reply.

Don't forget about the fact that different stores required different features. For example, webstore that sells carpets or fabrics need to have the calculator that helps to trade these types of products. Another story if the store offers services to order. This case you also need to think about geolocation or options included in service or other functionality related to this business.

It's impossible to include all possible features for online trading in one CMS. And, to say the truth, online stores often use only a small part of all possibilities that offer CS-Cart as they don't need it. The main part of CS-Cart owners (the cheapest CS-Cart edition) is small shops that find their niche.

And CS-Cart is really rich feature cms, but it is mostly oriented to piece goods trade as the most popular businesses. Anyway, the ready-to-use modules don't cost a fortune and you may purchase the additional functionality for a small amount of money and add the feature you are necessary that isn't in the base version.

Pay attention to the fact that CS-Cart resellers are also selling licenses, but usually with discounts. Resellers (partners) can also create the individual design theme for the store on CS-Cart and sometimes have a complex solution: CS-Cart + set of additional modules or CS-Cart + attractive non-standard theme.
