Customer Shipping Address Change Since Upgrade

We have recently upgraded from v4.6.2 to v4.8.2 in the last 2 weeks and have noticed that a feature has been taken out.

We take orders over the phone and some of our customers like to get their orders sent to another address. In v4.6.2, we had the option to either leave the new shipping address in that one particular order or to update the customers account to overwrite the existing default shipping address. Now in v4.8.2, we only have the option to overwrite which is proving to be very inconvenient as we now have to double check every order, make sure the shipping address is correct, and if it is different then we need to change the shipping address on the account back to the original.

Was this an oversight or an intentional removal of this feature? We are using the old admin panel add-on for reference

Do you mean multiple profiles per account? Please check "Allow users to create multiple profiles for one account" setting on Settings->General page.

No, I don't mean the multiple profiles. That could be a solution, except you have to create the profile in the customer section first, and then take the order. If there was a way we could have the option to create another profile from the order section, then that could be a potential fix.

Ideally, we'd like for the CS-Cart team to change it back to the way it was as there doesn't seem to be any reason for removing the feature to have a new shipping address without updating the profile. Sometimes our customers only send to the new address once so creating a new profile every time for 1-time use would be inefficient.

That's not the issue. The issue is when I select a customer, then correct the address, it automatically saves the new address to the profile. Before, we had the option to either use the new address for that 1 order OR to use it and update the account.

I have had to contact a 3rd party developer who understands the issue and they are going to add the button back in for me

This was never custom developed, when I asked the 3rd part developers, they said the button was present in v4.6.2 and it does seem to have been removed in v4.8.2
