Is it just the admin back end or can it also apply to the vendor back end (multivendor )

No it does not work with recent versions of cscart and although he gave some help after I first purchased the plugin (as it was not compatible with versions it was listed to work with) it has no updates, no maintenance and hungry webs support as among the worst I have ever encountered. This is a shame as it was a great plugin but I had to remove it.
