I bought a copy of cs-cart back in October 07 and I would like to say that I think it was a good choice.
I did a self install, and it went well and was easy.
I changed some of the store layout and the look of a couple of things, and it was pretty easy for me to do. I am a webdesign, and have used oscommerce in the past, so I should know how to do changes anyway.
I recently upgraded from 1.3.5 sp1 to sp2 and the upgrade went as planned and worked.

As of yet, I have not actually opened my store but I will do another review in about 6 months to note my progress.
The forum is always full of people and they always have suggestions and lend a hand.
The bug tracker is frequently updated, and reports are filled a lot. Which might be bad, but maybe its good as well. you decide.
The stock skins on the cart, look better then most of the other carts out there, so less changes are needed to get stores looking good !
The package has a lot of functionality, like quickbooks exporting, csv product importing, newsletter, guest checkout !! and others…
So out of 10 I give my experience with cs-cart 7 /10 which is ~great, cos i normally rate things really low and am picky…
It good to hear success stories, there are always negatives and posatives with any software and its not often we hear about the posatives of these types of softeware. I am the type of person that focusses on the negatives, so its good that I can read about all the success stories and realise I have made a good choice with CS-CART

I also find cs-cart to be a great product. You can get a site running with a minimum of fuss. Although the 1.3.4 → 1.3.5 upgrade experience can be a bit better.

After 4 years of searching for a cost effective cart solution I found CS-CART to be the best solution. The support team are excellent and very helpful.

I recently moved from other shopping cart provider and I am happy with results.
Speaking of first post, you have introduced yourself as a web designer but I see very tiny design change on have on your site.
Although things have not gone as planned - it takes way long to do this internet lark than I expected - I remain 100% satisfied in my choice of cs-cart for current and expected future development.
