Different Language And Url

Hi,

My main store is with URL www.bioefekt.com.. I use it as store for Slovak clients.

I wonna create another storefront with URL www.bioefekt.com/cz.. for Czech clients.

How can I set that when Slovakian customer enter www.bioefekt.com to see Slovak version, but when Czech client search for www.bioefekt.com to open version that is on Czech and redirects to Czech storefront on URL www.bioefekt.com/cz

I know I can use this tutorial:

https://docs.cs-cart.com/4.8.x/user_guide/stores/redirect_regional_customers_to_storefront.html

But I still dont understand.

1. Create new storefront with URL www.bioefekt.com/cz (at the moment its 404 page, it does not exist on server)

2. Set it for Czech region.

Will this insure that all clients from Czech will be redirected to czech storefront www.bioefekt.com/cz ?

Also, do I have to create subdirectory www.bioefekt.com/cz on server first and than create storefronet with www.bioefekt.com/cz ?

Thanks

Erol

Do you really need another storefront? Isn't a translated store much easier to manage?

Hello.

It looks like a bad web server configuration (apache or nginx).
With a correct configuration, there should be no error 404 but you should redirect to your storefront www.bioefekt.com/cz
Best regards.
Robert.

If you really need separate store-front for Czech, please pay attention to the Regions tab in the store-front settings

eComLabs, the only reason I need separate store is bec I need to have different currency based on where the clients is located.

So invoice numbering will be 1-2-3-4... but invoices will have different currency..

So, I was told by Simtech that it will be better to have different storefronts to achive this..

If this is really correct approach, than I need to know are this steps ok:

1. Create new storefront with URL www.bioefekt.com/cz

2. Set it for Czech region and pay attention to regions tab, as you mentioned)

Hi, the only reason I need separate store is bec I need to have different currency based on where the clients is located. But invoices should belong to 1 company..

Can't you enable localization for automatic setting of currency? User can change it, but I thought Localization set language and currency. The currency becomes display-only. I.e. all payment processor transactions are still done in the primary currency of the store.

Hi guys,

Thanks for help

I am not using any payment processor.

Just pay on delivery option.

Still customer has to have Invoice on his local currency to pay to UPS or DHL courier.

Therefor, I need to set different storefronts based on countrys and be able to generate different invoice currency.

So, I guees just changing language will not do the trick, since invoice will always have same currency. (no payment processor, its offline payment)

It has to be new storefronts for each country.

But my question, is still unanswered:

To achive this, is it enough to create new country storefront with www.bioefekt.com/COUNTRY and localise it to IP address?

Looks like simple thing, but seems noone has clear answer..?

Thanks

Erol

I guess you could quite easily automatically switch currency together with language, or use geolocation to switch although it's not a feature in cs-cart (there are add-ons though).

One problem you'll face, is that you won't have "nice" numbers if you convert from your main currency. Example: something costing 1 USD, could show as 0.87 euro. This means you can't use price psychology.

Having multiple storefronts solves this issue as you can "set" prices per front. So maybe it is the way to go in this case.

Do you still have 404 at the entrance to www.bioefekt.com/cz ? Because this is the main problem at the moment?

Best regards

Robert.

Customer invoices will be in the currency the customer selected (or that Localization set). Admin invoices are always in the primary currency.

Thanks,

still does anyone know answer on this:

To achive this, is it enough to create new country storefront with www.bioefekt.com/COUNTRY and localise it to IP address?

HOW TO DO IT?

I have been asking this from beginning of the post, but somehow everyone skipped my MOST IMPORTANT question.

Thanks

Thanks for Idea..

I think so yes. I would also add links just in case someone lands on the wrong storefront.

To make it look even more professional, you could also make language specific domains. Example:

bioefekt.de for a German site and .com for an English site.

Yes, it is possible. But I do not see reason to have separate store-front for this feature. There were addons on the marketplace which allow to connect currencies with customer location.

It will be cheaper and easier to use one store-front with such an addon

Hi, Thanks for info..

Still, I am not sure if the Invoices will also be in county currency?

Is this addon you had in mind or you also recommend others as well:

https://www.alt-team.com/cs-cart-currency-ip-add-on.html

Thanks

Erol

As stated above. Standard cs-cart behavior is:

Invoices to customer are in the currency that was active for the customer at time of order

Invoice to admin are in the primary currency of the store as well as all transactions to the payment provider.

I've seen extensions where admin invoices show both the primary currency value and the customer-selected currency value.

Just try it with a test order.

Still, I am not sure if the Invoices will also be in county currency?

Yes, since customer currency is stored with order data in database

There were several modules and addon from alt-team is one of them
