I am facing a very strange problem.
I have a product "Collection 1", I have given this product an option in which a user can choose from 2 other products "Mubkhar 50ml" or "Mubkhar 100ml"
Now the problem I am facing is managing the Quantities, "Mubkhar 50ml" and "Mubkhar 100ml" are also available as an individual product in categories other than being available as an option in "Collection 1"
Now let's say I have "Mubkhar 50ml" 2 Quantities and both of them are purchased by a user in "Collection 1" as an option, the "Mubkhar 50ml" in the category shows "In stock" whereas it should show "Out of stock" because it has been already purchased in "Collection 1" product as an option.
This way I am facing a lot of problems because the product that I am giving as an option is also available to be purchased as an individual product in categories
I hope you guys can give me some solution

Dear Ecom, It is not linked the thing is that the products that I am giving as options are also available to be purchased as individual products so is there a way that they can be linked so when someone purchased either from "Collection 1" or purchase from category "Mubkhar 50ml" the quantity should decrease accordingly so lets say Mubkhar 50ml is 1 quantity in Collection 1 and 1 quantity as individual in category, so when someone purchased from collection 1, the Mubkbar 50ml which is in the category should also be decreased

I am using that, If someone purchase "Mubkhar 50ml" by choosing it as an option in "Collection 1" Product, that only decreases the inventory of "Mubkhar 50ml" from "Collection 1" combination, it does not decrease the quantity of "Mubkhar 50ml" from category
I want it to work in a way that let's say If someone has purchased the mubkhar 50ml in collection 1 product, the mubkhar 50ml in the category should also decrease the quantity because it is being purchased in collection 1 as an option
Sorry, product options are not usually used as separate products. You might consider modifying the options on these pages to have links to the other products and then simply take them there if that's what they want.
I'm guessing you could utilize a hook that would detect when a product is used as an option and then adjust the inventory appropriately. However, there are many "fingers" that would need to be accounted for. RMA, editing of orders, etc. to name a few.
I agree with Tony. It is not possible without code modification. As alternative check marketplace for product configurator addons. It allows to create collections from real products. In this case inventory will be processed correctly
