Does anyone make an addon so a customer can have multiple carts?

Does anyone make an addon so a customer can have multiple carts?

Never saw an e-shop with multiple carts. What should be the purpose of this?

I have customers who will fill their cart up with products maybe 30 items. Then they decide to order a sample before they place their order.

To order a sample they must delete all of their products first and then order a sample and then reenter the 30 items.

Too much work for the customer.

make 2 orders - just add a note to the one order to "hold"?
