Why We Chose Multivendor

Im new to CS cart and we are building a multivendor marketplace. I've seen various posts about the pros and cons of using multi-vendor.

After researching various options such as custom build, Yo-kart, Share tribe, shopify etc we decided to go with CS-cart MV.

Why?

Firstly the cost & speed. We needed to get our concept out into the market quick. We found that the functionality already built in CS cart was great and building a custom would cost alot more than the $2000 we need to invest to get our marketplace up and running. With MV we can get an impressive marketplace live in 2-3 weeks. Its best we get a marketplace out live and listen to our customers and develop it to their needs.

Secondly the addons. With a great scope of addons we don't need to rely on developers all of the time to get things done and can add them ourselves.

Thirdly the support and forums. Before making the purchase these forums gave a great deal of knowledge and it was reassuring to see problems openly discussed and solved. While we still have free support with our license purchase it's also good to see the CS cart team openly engaging with its customers and listening to their concerns and ideas.

Fourth - the developers. We started projects in the past with developers and also felt short-changed. Having a wide variety of developers on the forums openly giving free advise is a big positive.

Fifth - Development roadmap. Its important to work with a platform that is backed by its creators. While some people may feel that the features being added should be included at the start, development is an evolving process that should never stop and im happy to be a customer for CS cart MV and invest into its growth.
