Structural Url

Hello

Can somebody tell me who is beter to have a link

1.www.website.com/catergory/subcategory/product.html

or

1.1 www.website.com/product.html

and

2.www.website.com/catergory/subcategory.html

or

2.1 www.website.com/subcategory.html

I now from my experience that a short url is better but is ok like this

I have set on my website the version 1.1 and 2.1

Thanks!

Big-G prefers getting keyword info from URL and will give a slight bump for being able to do so (less work for them). However, for a customer, it can make more sense from a usability standpoint of using domain/product.hml.

General practice (varies) is to not use .html suffix for categories but only for products. But I don't think there's any difference in ranking. It just makes it clearer and more consistent. But many placed don't use any suffix at all for products or categories.

thx for the answer.

In the Seo Addon is a small problem of design of url if i may said that.

If we take out the .html from the link we have

www.website.com/category/subcategory/product_name/

www.website.com/category/subcategory/

www.website.com/category/

What i don't like in this option is this "/" at the last

Great will be

www.website.com/category/subcategory/product_name

www.website.com/category/subcategory

www.website.com/category

I see that at other site and is better that way...:)

I don't now if we can take out the "/"
