Checkout subtotal addition confusing

Does anyone else find this confusing? I know it summarizes the order total above this area next to the product details upon checkout… but then as you’re about to submit your order, you see this (see attachment) and the numbers don’t add up there. The final total is correct - it’s the subtotal amount that is not. Is there a way to correct this so it makes sense?

Apparently in most other countries besides the US, that calculation is correct. However, being in the US, i find it to be confusing as well.

Lets hope they give us an option for sub-total calculation and tax calculation in the next version so we can select how we want taxes and sub-totals configured.

I have contacted support in great detail on this subject. The cart does not have the proper checkout format for the USA as it did in earlier versions. It will be corrected in 1.3.5 service pack 2 available in about 2 months.

Awesome! I really like this cart so far. Lots to learn though! I’m sure I’ll be on this forum quite a bit asking questions and getting to know all of you.

Thanks for the update on this! I’ll keep my eye out for the next release.

If you want this sooner you could contact paulesport on this forum. I went in with him and a couple of others to get a US checkout mod designed. The mod won’t be done until December 24, but that is a little sooner than 1.3.5 sp2.

By the way my share was only $25.00. I don’t know if he is still open to accepting more people, but I don’t have a problem with it.

Cool - I’ll think about it. Might not be a big enough rush for us unless it really starts causing problems. I’ll keep in touch!

I suggest wait for servive pack two. Why would you take a unknown outsite source for a quick fix when there is dozens of bugs fixed in SP2? Wait… Your business relies on this. A one cure fix, won’t fix them all listed. Just a simple browser issue could cause you hundreds if not thousands a month.

Keith,

If you are referring to this: “if you want this sooner you could contact paulesport on this forum”

The mod paulesport is referring to is being provided by CS-CART. They are making the mod. The cost of the CS-CART mod is just being split among several cs-cart owners.

The current layout for US users is very confusing.

Bob

Its not just US users, that format is no good in the UK either.

So im not sure what countries it is correct for, but I would have thought US & UK where two of the main markets.

Yes this mod is being developed by CS-Cart themselves and we are just splitting the cost of development.

Not to veer off topic :), but what are the current rumors swirling around about an SP2 release date? I’m getting close to releasing a site and am debating on waiting…

I’d also like to agree that the standard sub totaling does look a bit strange…
