I'm not sure if something like this is possible, but is there a way to get a product option (or product variation for v4.6.1+) to use the same inventory stock, as a normal product?
Example:
Store sells a Canon camera (code: Canon-Cam1).
The store also sells camera kits with different options. The kits contain a camera, an SD card and a tripod. For each product in the kit, there are 3 product options (dropdown) and the customer would select each option they want. Canon-Cam1 is one of these options.
Currently, when I create this kit the kit decrements the quantity of camera from the product option/variations. What I want to try and do is have it decrement the quantity from the separate product.
Please see the attached PDF for an example (hopefully it makes sense!)
Is there an add-on which would allow me to do this?
Then you can make product packages and when someone buys a package the individual products amounts are updated.
Hi Flow,
Thanks for your reply. I am already using that add-on but it doesn't do this function I am talking about. While it does work very well with creating product bundles, it doesn't give me the option to use actual products as product options.
I wonder if it made more sense in my head than in the PDF I put together!
Product packages or Product configurator - is the key word you should use to describe your use case.
In default CS-Cart we have only Buy Together kits, probably this is something you can also take a look at, but it's now exactly what shown on your PDF.
