Is it possible to exclude a specific shipping option on certain products?

I saw that before I posted and it doesn't have much info that helps. Thank you though.
I believe the point of that post is to use the suppliers addon and then the shipping methods available for a supplier's products can be limited by product. Note that you can be all suppliers.
