New Product Images Not Uploading

For the last few days I've had the problem of when I try and put new products on the site the image isn't loading properly.

For example I click on the local server to select my file the file name of the image appears e.g. image.jpeg but the image is not there and obviously its not creating a thumbnail to view.

I've seen that people have had this issue before so if someone could help I'd be grateful. We were putting new products on without a problem before.

I'm not technical so any explanations in laymans terms please

It is required to examine issue directly on your server. At first make sure that all directories have correct permissions and you have enough space on the disk
