Content Page Layout Design Freedom. How To Achieve It?

Hello,

I want to create some 'Content' pages (Blog post, Landing page) with a completely different layout. Preferably a layout similar to the best Wordpress themes which I find inspiring.

Or even with full screen background video: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/bridge-creative-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/7315054?ref=cirvitis

Now my (naive?) questions:,

1. how can I achieve this? Preferably without having to code such a layout ourselves....

2. are there add-ons do this?

3. or should I buy such a Wordpress Theme and create a subdomain with linking or ....?

Any suggestion more than welcome!

You can create new layout page for the "View page" dispatch. Then on the Pages tab of the new layout page enable it only for one CMS page. Now this layout will be used for one page only.

1. Go to Website -> Pages and create new page (e.g. Landing page)

2. Go to Design -> Layouts page, click on the "Add layout page..." button

3. In the opened popup set the Dispatch setting to "View page"

4. Go to the "Pages" tab and add the "Landing page" there

5. Create layout page

6. Add the "Main content" block to the "Content" section

7. Check the result

Regarding step 5: 'Create Layout Page': is it correct that full design freedom is possible?

So, for example:

1. Full width on all blocks (including Top Menu and Footer blocks)?

2. HTML5 blocks for embedded video

We are on 4.1.3 but using BuyShop as theme which is responsive (but not sure if full width is possible)

I think I will contact you directly to design this new page for us.

It depends on the theme, but generally yes - you can create full width page here with some CSS tricks
