Hello!
We are happy to present you the first release of the year—CS-Cart 4.4.3.
Besides bug fixes, this patch contains a new anti-bot protection—Google reCAPTCHA.
Recently, CS-Cart store owners started to receive spam messages. We found out that the default anti-spam system used in CS-Cart has been bypassed. To prevent further spam expanding, we’ve implemented Google reCAPTCHA. It improves anti-bot validation.

In their blog it states:
The add-on is installed and activated during the upgrade, but the old CAPTCHA will still be used until you configure the new add-on. We recommend switching to Google reCAPTCHA as soon as possible.
Switch to Google reCAPTCHA:
1. Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons.
2. Find and click Google reCAPTCHA in the list of add-ons.
3. A pop-up window will open. Enter Site key and Secret token, then save your changes. The instructions on how to get the key and token are available here.

Hello,
I have just installed new version 4.43 then I installed and activate new add-on Google reCAPTCHA with secret key and token but only old reCHAPTCHA is active.
How I can solve the problem.

Any idea on when the myriad of defects that have been reported but seem to persist in the "under review" and other statuses might get addressed? The committed times for resolution has gotten out of hand again. And marking defects as closed when additional feedback was provided is completely unacceptable.

This reCAPTCHA will slow down CS Cart. Any screen shots of the speed score with this new cs cart version?

Well Ive configured it for our v4 CSC stores because there were Bots getting past the captcha on our v2 store. works ok, but..
Ive always hated the @#$%^ google reCaptcha myself. Hate having to deal with it when I go to a store that has it.
But I guess its the best method at the mo'.

Why do you hate Google reCaptcha? You check a box and move on. What's to hate?

Is there any estimate on how soon 4.5.x will be released?
Also till when or if you plan to upgrade store import tool, is it compatible with current version?

Yeah, never liked the "pick the images with storefronts" default quiz. I feel that some of our more senior, visually impaired and less computer literate customers will find it confusing/annoying...... Not a fan... but I do appreciate the important security aspect of it. hence why Ive installed it regardless.

OK I see what you mean. I'm not using that. I'm using the one where you check the box that says "I'm not a robot."

Its a same thing. If google find you suspicious you get to do quiz..

4.5.1 approximately will be released in February-March.
Store import is note updated for 4.3.3 yet.

Do a quiz, see few advertisements, maybe get few offers from google 
hopefully you will not forget where were you loggin in..
PS even when I got reCAPTCHA I still had few spam mails, so its not 100% security..
Im suspicious? ..ahhhrr... the world according to google...
I just tested it again and had to endure 4 different quiz's ... its a pain.
