Hi everyone,

From time to time I want to selectively add a rel="nofollow" tag to a link on a content page. But, when I save, it is stripped out (i.e. deleted). Is that intentional? If so, why and how can I get around that?

Thanks,

Jason

Try to disable WYWIWYG editor, save the content with nofollow params and check the result. Most possibly WYSIWYG edit strips this data

Is the link in your description or other editable data?

Please post the code you are using and possibly a link to the resulting page.

Yep, it's in the description of the content page. The code is simple:

<ul>
<li>December 9, 2016 - <a href="http://fitsmallbusiness.com/best-online-business-ideas/"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Best Online Business Ideas: 39 Favorites from the Pros</a></li>
</ul>

The live page is located at:

Oddly enough, I noticed that it works fine on blog pages (although, I'm using a 3rd party addon for my blog). But, it seems like it would be using the same underlying wysiwyg editor code in both places, so I dunno.

Well, the editor is definitely stripping it out.  Suggest using a different editor or updating it directly in the DB.

Wouldn't it be CS Cart itself doing the stripping since it does it even if I disable the WYSIWYG editor altogether?

Yea, I guess I could edit in the DB, but a big pain since I'd have to do it each time. Definitely would like to avoid that if possible.

Could be, it would require more detailed investigation...
