Presenting Cs-Cart And Multi-Vendor 4.4.2!

We’ve prepared a new upgrade for your stores—CS-Cart 4.4.2!

This is not an ordinary patch: besides bug fixes, it offers a new super feature-packed CS-Cart edition—CS-Cart Ultimate.

What’s Inside?

  • CS-Cart Ultimate. Starting from version 4.4.2, we’re offering two CS-Cart editions: CS-Cart and CS-Cart Ultimate. CS-Сart Ultimate has everything CS-Cart has, plus an unlimited number of storefronts and an ability to manage a store via a mobile app. Read about Ultimate’s advantages and prices in this detailed post.

  • Mobile Admin App in Multi-Vendor. Mobile Admin App is a new built-in add-on that allows you to manage your marketplace via a mobile device. You just need to install a free app on your iOS or Android device and connect to your admin panel. CS-Cart admin panel is not responsive, so operating a store via a mobile app is a lot more convenient than through a mobile web browser.

  • Themes display correctly in the stores hosted on Windows. We don’t recommend hosting CS-Cart stores on Windows servers: Linux servers are more secure and convenient to manage. But some of our customers have installed CS-Cart on Windows machines with XAMPP. The previous CS-Cart version had a design issue on Windows with XAMPP—styles of themes didn’t load in both the admin panel and the storefront. They appeared as simple HTML pages without any graphics. CS-Cart 4.4.2 is free from this issue—themes display fine on Windows servers now.

  • LESS to CSS conversion works properly in the Bright theme. When editing a theme via the built-in Theme Editor, you can convert theme styles from the LESS to the CSS format. After the conversion, you get a compiled CSS file, which you can edit to change the appearance of the theme. In the previous version, LESS to CSS conversion in the Bright theme resulted in an error. As a result, theme styles were disabled and you couldn’t switch back to LESS. Since Theme Editor works with LESS only, you couldn’t use it. In CS-Cart 4.4.2, we’ve fixed this bug.

  • Templates of add-ons override default theme templates correctly. In CS-Cart, an add-on can replace some templates in your theme with its own templates. This is called “a template override”. In the previous CS-Cart version, add-ons couldn’t override the product list template of a default theme. We’ve fixed this in CS-Cart 4.4.2.

Check out other changes and fixes in the changelog.

Get the new version is the usual way:

  • If your upgrade subscription is still active, check the available upgrade on the Administration → Upgrade center page in your admin panel. During this first week of the release, we’ll be distributing upgrade packages in batches, so as not to overload our servers. After the first week, we’ll open the upgrade distribution fully. So if you don’t see the available upgrade in your Upgrade center now, check for it later. If your upgrade subscription has expired, extend it for another one year.

  • If you’re just joining the CS-Cart army, download the installation package, install it on your server, and buy the license.

You’re welcome to ask any questions about CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.4.2.

Report any bugs to our bug tracker and we’ll deal with them.

The 1-year upgrade subscription for CS-Cart Ultimate costs $360.

Very expensive I'd say..

Currently any amount of store fronts are prolonged with single 110$ fee, now this will get to 360$. I do not even see anything much desired in roadmap, ebay app is no good at all, facebook does not work. So get bug fixes for 360$ and maintaining 2 or 3 store fronts for this I think is expensive..

Well I wish Id had known that this was on the roadmap, as Ive just extended support and recently purchased another storefront, making 4. I dont think its expensive if you have only 1 license and intend to add more, but really, Ive already paid for it!!

One thing that really bugged me was the need to purchase extra licenses for the addons each time I added a storefront.

Its not the expense so much as the time spent getting more addon licenses.

Q1. Are 3rd party addons also going to be unlimited storefront.

I think addon providers need to offer unlimited storefront versions.

Q2. Is there any additional discount offer for those of us that have already paid for multiple licences.

Expense aside, its a good move I feel, now lets get the ebay addon working better and cscart will be a world-beater.

Lets calculate then...

CS_CART license 345$ + 3 store fronts = 1080$ + 2 year (110$) prolong 1400$; 3 year 1510$

CS_CART ULT license 865$ + 2 year (360$) prolong 1585$; 3 year 1945$

So how many store fronts you got to owe so this would be a good deal?

I was referring to regular prices not promotions..

Question: will individual storefront licenses still be available for purchase on non-Ultimate installations?

Good news, the mobile app sounds interesting.

I have one store that is using the free version still.

It looks like I can upgrade it to this Ultimate version for $350.

Is this correct?

is this ULTIMATE Edition replace MVE?

i bought CS-CART and CS-CART MVE? how i can upgrade them to ULTIMATE? using offer

We can help to upgrade all your addons from us to unlimited storefronts license. Please feel free to submit a ticket to us.

Good news! New features are welcome. It will be good to see the mobile app for the cs cart version also.

Yes, you will still be able to purchase as many storefronts for you CS-Cart License as you wish.

Is this correct?

No, you have to be owner of CS-Cart Lifetime License (free mode is not included)

However I suppose if you contact sales department they will provide you with a good discount.

Ultimate is extended version of CS-Cart. see comparison here: https://www.cs-cart.com/compare.html

So Multi-Vendor stays as it is.

But you can upgrade your CS-Cart license to CS-Cart Ultimate License. see instructions in this blog post: http://blog.cs-cart.com/2016/11/29/presenting-a-new-edition-of-cs-cart-4-4-2%E2%80%94cs-cart-ultimate/

Just purchased, but I have questions that may help others too.

Recently I upgraded my DEV from 4.3.1 to 4.4.1 and was pleasantly surprised to find most all of my addons still worked correctly.(this site has been upgraded all the way from V 2)

I still havent transferred the dev to the live site yet so my question is what type of jump am I about to take now to 4.4.2 are there many changes in files/structure etc from 4.4.1 or am I ok to upgrade DEV and should be ok

Thanks

John

What about reseller program for Ultimate for CS-Cart partners?

Will vendors be able to use the mobile admin as well?

We have purchased cs-cart ultimate 3.x and 2 additional storefronts

Shouldn't we get ultimate 4.x free of charge, if we have valid upgrade subscription?

Actually we have already paid more than today's ultimate price.

1 x cs-cart $385

2 x additional storefront a $245

Total USD $875 vs today's $865

Hello, my name is Alex, I am the head of CS-Cart sales team.

Thank you for the feedback! I will try to answer all remaining questions about CS-Cart Ultimate here in one place.

1. As for the price, the benefit of using CS-Cart Ultimate is obvious when one uses multiple storefronts, not 2, for instance. Its main advantage is an unlimited number of storefronts as well as the admin mobile app.

2. If you have recently purchased CS-Cart with 2 or 3 storefronts and want to get CS-Cart Ultimate, please get in touch with our sales team sales@cs-cart.com. We will discuss each separate case to offer the most suitable conditions.

3. As for wholesale reseller prices, we will make an official announcement this Friday (December, 2).

4. Regarding the discount coupon, yes, somehow it was available for all users. It is a mistake of our marketing department, thank you for pointing it out to us.

Please let me know if there are any other open questions about CS-Cart Ultimate.

You should offer the mobile admin app as a paid addon option for those of us who want to stay with the regular CS-Cart (i.e. we have no need for multiple storefronts but would like to have the mobile admin feature--but that's not by any means worth paying the extra $350 for).
