Add-Ons By Simtech Development: Vendor Business Hours

Dear Friends,

We have developed Vendor Business Hours add-on that allows you to set the dates and time when the vendor’s store is open and hide their products when their store is closed.

  • Key Features
  • — Better customer experience - your customers do not wonder anymore why they have not had an answer from a vendor for a long time.

  • — If a customer follows a link to open the product page of a vendor that is not working at the moment, the product will be shown, but the purchase will be unavailable.

  • — More freedom for your vendors. They can temporarily hide their products from the storefront and search results.

  • — The Back-End Calendar allows the vendor to determine the dates and time when their merchandise is not available in the frontend.

  • — Hide merchandise for a certain period.

  • — Unlimited vacation option.

  • — More flexibility for you. Working days and days off of your vendors are available on the vendors page.

  • — The admin gets a notification when a vendor is on vacation if the “Notify admin” checkbox is selected.

  • — The admin gets a notification when the vendor is back from vacation and the products become available on the storefront again.

Hello,

We have added some new features in our Vendor Business Hours add-on:

- The functionality that allows keeping vendor products available for sale during non-working hours and on weekends has been added.
- "The “Allow sale on weekend” and “Allow sale during non-working hours” settings have been added for the store administrators. These settings enable the store administrator to allow vendors to choose whether to sell during non-working hours and on weekends.
- The "Allow sale on weekend:" and "Allow sale during non-working hours:" settings available for vendors have been added. These settings allow vendors to make products available and unavailable for sale during non-working hours and on weekends.

Hello,

The appearance of the "The seller is on vacation" message window has been improved in our Vendor Business Hours add-on.

Hello,

The appearance of the "The seller is on vacation" message window has been improved in our Vendor Business Hours add-on.

The message is says: The vendor is on vacation. Your order will be processed during working days after the vendor is back.

Question: how customer should know when the vendor is back? Do the customer risk to buy not knowing when s/he will get item?

Adding dates will solve this issue.

Regards

Hello,

Yes, I agree with you, it is better to show dates in the message. I created a task for our developers.

Hello, Friends!

In the the latest add-on version, PHP error which displayed on the product comparison page has been fixed.

Friends, we have got some news about the add-on!

There was an incorrect message on the category page in the hot-deals blocks telling that the vendor does not work. After reworking the add-on, we obtained the right displaying of vendor business hours.

One of the potential improvements we hope to see for the "Vendor Business Hours" add-on would be the ability to set different hours by day of week. As an example:

  • Monday 9am - 5pm (normal business hours)
  • Tuesday 9am - 5pm (normal business hours)
  • Wednesday 9am - 5pm (normal business hours)
  • Thursday 9am - 9pm (open late for busy workers)
  • Friday 9am - 7pm (late closing)
  • Saturday 10am - 7pm (late open, late closing)
  • Sunday Closed

The "Vacation Days setting is convenient for 1-person and 2-person stores when nobody will be available to work, and that's great. For larger stores, it is less likely that everybody will be on vacation, but this feature is convenient for designating "Closed for Holiday" with different designated holiday store closing throughout the year.

It might also be nice to have hours designated for shipping (orders received after 3pm will be shipped the following day) or delivery (local delivery orders will be processed between 9am - 6pm).

This is a great add-on. These additional features will really empower Multi-Vendor to accommodate the needs of their vendors and shoppers!
