Hello, I'm currently working on customizing my cart software and I happened to come across a nasty issue when trying to use prototype.js. Apparently, the use of prototype breaks mayor functionalities in the software due to the expansion of native core objects in JavaScript.

Any ideas if the CS-Cart team will release a prototype.js friendly version in the near future? Here is just an example of the broken JavaScript.

They most likely will never release a Prototype "friendly" version. I "think" they are moving over to JQuery, if they arent already....

You should contact them and see what library they use now, and work in that library framework.

This is just a guess on my part....

I really hope they decide to move to some sort of standardized library. The current JS is a mess and all over the place...

I agree, I hope they will consider some of the most reliable frameworks out here. I sure don't want to edit the CS-CAR native JavaScript code because that will lead to serious version discrepancies on my site.

It seems that cs-cart incorporates jQuery to power up its js functionalities, wise choice!!!
